The Belle & The Bear

This is a perfect dive bar with live music. From record covers stuck to the ceiling to $6 giant beers, to pool tables and TVs with sports, this ace has everything. I don't think there but at times I've seen food trucks outside and there are four really good restaurants in the same campus area (Pacific Kitchen, Mei's, an Indian restaurant, and a Thai restaurant). We've eaten at all of them and they are all very good. On this night we watched DV8, a local band that plays all your heavy metal, hard rock, and hair band classics of the 80's and 90's. We had an absolute blast.

Unless you hear for the entertainment or just a regular customer, don't bother. They must be dog friendly as well.

Fun Bar!! There's something going on every night and it draws some of the best bands in the area. Prices are good, the beer is cold, there's a good booze selection, and the bartenders are top notch. I've met the owner several times and she clearly knows her business and clientele. I would guess the average age would be around 40 to 45 years old and this is not a youngster's bar. Every Thursday is "Jam Session" and I'd tell you more but this is something you have to experience for yourself. On Mondays, they play "Bottle Cap Bingo" and Queen of Hearts if you want to put a few bucks in your pocket. Ran, a local comedian and the man with many shoes, does the calling. I have to admit, the dude is funny and keeps things lively. Out of all the bars in the Cincinnati area, I'd have to say this is clearly a favorite!

Stopped here because it looked like a fun place on yelp. Great atmosphere! Great people and a great bartender!! Jessica served us with a smile and treated us like we were old friends. We'll definitely come back when we're in the area.

So the atmosphere is great. I met the owner once by chance crossing that did me a favor regarding a bottle of red label Weller and I have never forgot it. Stopped in tonight to have a couple beers and listen to some music. I ordered a beer and it was $5.50, not choice of a difference. Then with a new bartender transfer I ordered a refill and it was $4. I asked why there was a difference. He said different size glasses. I asked if I could see. He gave me the other glass. When I went to give it back I knocked over my newly filled beer. I asked for another. I put up payment for the new one. In my entire life I have always been told it was an accident and they refilled it at no cost to me. He graciously took my payment for the new one without hesitation. I'll be more careful here next time. If you order a draft here ask if there is a difference in price between $4 and $5.50.The bartenders get a 4 star, the owner and the place get a 5 star!

Then you can kindly F*** off!Operated, bartended, and masterminded by a Woman unworthy of being titled anything lesser than a bad-a$$ b**** (love you, Ms. Lady), The Belle & The Bear is THE place to hunch over a perfect bar, maybe get sniffed by a pup, maybe get sniffed by a lady or gentleman-caller, maybe sniff a pup, but ALWAYS leave in the highest mood any damn place with four walls, pool tables, and great company that is available this side of tennis legend John McEnroe. Where is McEnroe? Doesn't matter. Stop asking questions. Shut up & have a legendary time at B&B.That is all.

A few years ago this bar went under a new name and new ownership and MAN does it show! It got a much needed face lift (literally looks completely different) it now has a classy "dive" bar feel.. if you can even call it a dive anymore. Great beer and bourbon selection. Live music every week and friendly staff. If you haven't been to this location in a while do yourself a favor and check it out.

The Belle & the Bear is the bar located next to the terrific comedy club Go Bananas. And like that club, this is an area gem. It's a bar that manages to have character without being a dump. The atmosphere and staff are inviting and pleasant. This is a great place to hang out post show.

Cool local atmosphere. Great service and Bingo was awesome! We had a lot of fun and will be back!!
