The Barrel House

Such a cool place! Plenty of beers on tap, plus a couple wines, but so many more options available by the can to drink there or to-go! I love sours, so anytime I can find a great selection, I'm thrilled.It's kind of a small space, but they have lots of games if you're looking for something to do with your friends while you sip, and they also entertainment throughout the week.They also have a small patio right out front, and they're a part of Dayton's recently expanded DORA area if you want to take your drink and walk around.

I love the Barrel House! I've been able to find beers and wine that I can't find anywhere else in Ohio. An example would be as pictured, my favorite beer from my home state of Oregon. The beer list is very large with great examples of just about every different type you can think. This is all in a beautiful, small but cool space. Finally, the service is always top notch. I tend to find my own beers but if you have questions at all the bartenders are more than happy to assist. I absolutely recommend the Barrel House!

Fabulous choices better people. Truly, booze, THC, iced tea and the best NA options I've found in town. I always feel welcome here. Great for a day bevvie, a night out, or takeout for home or the bbq/pool. Love this place

My favorite place in Dayton for 4 years. The best diversity in craft beer on tap. Special events throughout the week - Wu Tang Wednesday, Open Mic Night Thursdays, etc. All Gender restrooms are always clean and stocked with supplies. The staff are genuinely nice people who make you feel welcome.

If we keep "discovering" these great hangouts in downtown Dayton, we might just have to get out a BIT more often!! The Barrel House is a cozy, comfortable "lounge" with something for just about everyone! We decided to stroll over here to check this place out after beginning our evening at Warped Wing Brewery around the corner. Sooooo many great, obscure beer choices available, literally from floor to ceiling!! Come in with half an idea of what you want, or browse around for a bit, if you can, as it can get kind of cramped on a busy night. We got our drinks, didn't find any available seats, but snuck into a cozy, tight, ROMANTIC phone booth-sized little hideaway room. Will have to remember that nook for our anniversary!! ;-) Nice spot to add to our GROWING list of great hangout spots in (formerly) overlooked downtown Dayton!! Will be checking their upcoming special events listing too, as well as their outdoor patio, once the weather improves!! Give it a try...!!

Sara and Gus are the people you talk to when you want beer. Sara in particular. Are you unsure what you want? Do you need recommendations because you like something and they don't have it?They'll help you out. The Barrel House is where you go if you want to be educated about beer, and want good beer, and want a staff that knows what they're doing with craft beer?The Barrel House is the place.

Found this spot as we were brewery hopping and checking out downtown Dayton before Quarantine. It's a very hipster and cool vibe where you can buy extremely unique bottles of beer and wine as well as interesting draft selection. Went with the mimosa cider which was delicious! Also LOVE the glasses that the drafts are served in. There's lots of games and books for a chill night with friends!

Positives: Cool and eclectic place, with a great selection of wine and craft beers. They don't have a kitchen, but you can bring food in. Staff is really nice.Negatives: The "open mike" night is a total loser. It is mostly comedy, and if you like the worst comedy ever making sophomoric jokes about cum and creampies, or listening to an addict going on about his prison time, it might be for you. It's too bad, because there is a lot of talent in Dayton, but who wants to sit through that for two hours?

Great place good selection of craft beer and a very friendly and professional staff. Will be returning when in Dayton.

this place is so cool!! so many beer flavors i've never heard of on tap, not to mention you're surrounded by any flavor alcohol you can dream of, from franks hot sauce to warheads flavors!! it's a very clean place with respectful and welcoming employees. i always recommend people to stop by here and grab a pack of something unique to try.
