The Bank House Cafe

We LOVE the food at Bank House and the service is always super-friendly. The renovated old bank is beautiful inside and out. I think the biggest surprise is the quality of the food and attention to detail in preparing it. For example: the Bank Robber Burger is huge, is LOADED with bacon, and comes with seasoned shoestring fries with a lemon garlic (I'm guessing) aioli. No other independent restaurant in the area puts as much effort into their food. Everything we've tried is really good, but I usually can't pass up that Bank Robber Burger. They always have a bunch of pies, muffins, and other sweet treats, as well as a full line of coffee house drinks. Once, there was live music on the porch.They do offer takeout, though they don't yet have a takeout menu. If you haven't been yet, I highly recommend dining at Bank House soon!The genuinely nice and helpful owner is what tipped what would have been a 4-star review to a 5-star. It breaks my heart that Bank House doesn't have Wifi, especially in an area with absolutely zero cell service (at least with Verizon). Also, I was more than disappointed that the sweetener choices in a coffee shop/restaurant were limited to white and pink. This isn't 1985; I'd love yellow, green, or even blue packets.

If you have never been here put it on your to do list and make the trip. This is the kind of place everyone wishes they had in their community. The Bank House is a true diamond in the rough. The transformation from a place that had been neglected for years and forgotten about to a place that is alive and serving its community is awesome! The staff is always so friendly and the food is always great. I always tell myself I'm going to try something new but can never get past the Philly cheese steak, it's the best I've ever had. If you go at peak times don't be surprised if you have to wait for a seat but trust me it's worth the wait!!!!

Gem of a Café. A very cozy and cute little place with super friendly and talkative staff and owner. The food was delicious and the coffee amazing! Not to mention the restoration of a beautiful historic building. The atmosphere is absolutely pleasant. Highly recommend it! Thank you and see you again!

All around great experience. Food is truly delicious. Service is very good as well. Ambiance is fantastic with very relaxing music playing in background.

I love their burger special. Everywhere they have a different burger showcased that is not on their menu. They were recognized by Dayton.com as having great burgers and chicken sandwiches. Only being open 1 yr and three nights a week.

First visit was for burgers and the second one was for pizza. Truly awesome experience both times. Burgers and pizza were some of the best we've ever had. Just the appearance of the specialty desserts will make your mouth water. Owners and staff are extremely cordial. Recommend whole-heartedly. You'll not be disappointed.

Tried the Big Buster burger with fries and sweet tea. Very good. The sunroom / porch makes a nice little cafe. Need to try the pizza next time I'm in the area.

By far the best burger and chicken cordon blue in Preble County! Amazing!!!! Definitely will be back!
