Third year in a row at Tewes. For 2022 we went with a 19.5 pounder. Plenty to serve for 10 people. I picked it up on Sunday prior to Thanksgiving (only Sunday they are open) 5 minute wait in line and I was out the door. Fast and efficient. This is becoming a yearly tradition. The quality is paramount over store bought poultry and you can honestly tell in taste.

I got a satchel of chicken breasts from here the other day and they are massive breasts. So delicious, so much better than store bought frozen breasts. You'll pay more but it's 100% worth it. Plus you should want to support sustainable farming, not mass factory produced farming. Can't wait to go back and try the turkey and bacon

Picked up our turkey this evening and it was frozen!!! Disappointed to bring home a frozen "fresh" turkey. We had planned to do a dry brine tonight, but it was too frozen to separate the skin from the meat to add the seasoning under the skin. Extremely dissatisfied this year, Tewes. We've bought turkeys from you for several years now-- not sure we will next year.

One brisk November morning my mother asked me to drive to Tewes to pick up our Thanksgiving bird. She typically bought her birds from Kroger, but gave them a shot that year. The meat was so flavorful and wonderful. Everyone loved it.Since then we've never bought another Butterball, they're all Tewes. They also have an amazing line of other foods, all locally grown and free range. If you haven't stopped by the farm, you're missing out.

This is the fifth year I've been buying a fresh, cage free turkey at Tewes Poultry Farm. I will not go back to a store-bought frozen ice-cube turkey ever again!Yes - the price per pound is higher than a grocery store, but the difference is amazing. Plus there is the added benefit of supporting a local family business - which is quickly becoming a rarity in this day and age.The service is awesome - from the family members who direct the parking lot to the people staffing the store where you pick up your farm-fresh products.Buy local and try fresh, farm-raised cage-free poultry products!

Tewes farmhand excellent turkey, eggs and bacon. There is nothing better than fresh food. It's nice to know that you can still get fresh food without preservatives and all the extra things that are unhealthy for us. You can really taste the difference.

Wow. From now on I don't think I'll ever be able to buy grocery store poultry and eggs again. Recently, I placed an order for a few pounds of turkey breast, ground turkey, chicken breast and a dozen eggs and was absolutely amazed by the freshness and quality of the Tewes Farm products. The bright orange egg yolks of their farm-raised eggs have no comparison at any big box retailer; this is the stuff you will only find on a farm. The huge turkey breast was succulent and just seemed so much cleaner and healthier than any other bird I'd prepared. The ground white meat turkey was almost completely fat-free, which is exactly how I wanted it. The chicken breasts, though much smaller than the store-bought, were again much healthier looking and tasted fantastic. Though in today's convenience driven world, buying from Tewes Farm might seem like a throwback, but for me it was well worth the extra effort.

I'm a big fan of this place. I belong to a CSA for produce and looked into getting on at a Meat CSA but most of them were either cost prohibitive or just wouldn't work for our lifestyle (we eat meat and/or poultry twice a week, vegetarian twice a week and seafood once a week). So I started hunting for local farms where I could buy in bulk and have it conveniently in the freezer. I found Tewes and decided to give them a shot. This is a great deal! Fresh local poultry, easy ordering (I just email them a few days before I want to pick it up), and reasonable prices.I've seen whole chickens (non-organic) at Whole Foods selling for $4 - $5/lb and unfortunately that's not within our price range without reducing our meat consumption (which some should argue we should but I'm not going to get into that debate). I used to wait for sales and buy multiple chickens at a time then cut it into parts myself but why go through the effort when Tewes is offering it locally, cheaper, and they cut it into parts for you? Sold! In fact, I'm about to place another order for more chickens and turkeys since we've used up our last order.Note though - I'm used to farm environments and my husband is not. He's more used to sterile supermarkets with sterile meat wrapped in plastic on those styrofoam trays (yech!) and was a bit...taken aback when we got there. This is a working farm folks! It's in the name, so don't be surprised when you get there and go to the barn to get your order. They're clean and orderly, but don't expect to see white tile and stainless steel everywhere.

Did you know you can get 1/2 a turkey? I just found out last year, and it's just right for a small Thanksgiving dinner. I'm on my way to pick up one today for this Thanksgiving! The taste is far better than a frozen bird! I buy all my eggs and fresh chickens from Tewes as well. We're lucky to them nearby - nothing beats fresh foods!
