I'll say I adore this set up. It's a lunch room setting so you kind of pick what you want and sit where you want. Ordinarily there are about 8 groups inside. Today there were 5. This may be a place for restaurants to form roots and see if they can make it before they split off on their own.So, back to my chicken nachos... The nachos begin at $10 then you pay for your salsa, cheese, guacamole, specialty salsa and our meat. My standard nachos cost me $17. Starting with the chips . They did not hold up. The meat, beans and liquid cheese is on the chips. Somehow, green pepper came into the mix which I didn't care for. Salsa are in soufflé cups so we had four of them,$4 for the guacamole cup. It ended up being salty soggy floppy mess. I would not order this again. The best part was the chicken.

Their tacos are CRAZY DELICIOUS! I got their carne asada and al pastor tacos, their carne asada was so good, but I wanted to take a moment to focus on their al pastor- the meat was juicy and seasoned so well, then they top it off with a bit of pineapple (which not all places do) and it's a party of flavors in your mouth of sweet and savory. All their tacos are phenomenal, the portions are big and it comes with a few salsas- I went for the traditional red and green but also added on their mango salsa and that was the way to go!

Newest addition to the Oakley Kitchen, just opened a couple days ago. Tacos, Tostadas, Quesadillas, Nachos, and all the fixings. The Chilled Elote Salad was a refreshing take one the popular street food, minus the cob. This makes it much easier to eat, far less messy, and fewer toothpicks needed. The owner passed by, saw I'd been to his restaurant and asked for some feedback. When someone asks for honesty, I try not to candy-coat it, because they're trying to improve their business with honest answers. I had one minor issue that I brought up to him and he insisted on giving me a credit for next time I came back. I all but refused, but he was insistent, and now I have a credit. A cynical me would say he's just kissing some butts on the opening week of business, but his candor told me more, and I believe it was sincere. I'll return again, and it isn't just to claim the credit, I gotta try some other items on their menu for sure.
