Well I came back my second night in the area. Someone reviewed the requires so I ordered those. There was 4 shredded beef hidden under guac, romaine lettuce & cheese. These were very filling & good. I was stuffed at 2! Friday is 1/2 off frozen margaritas so I lucked out in that one I think if I lives around here this would be my favorite Mexican restaurant. Service is quick. Mexican music and speaking in the background -definitely a plus.

We stopped in here while passing through and saw the hood reviews on yelp. So glad we did. Very authentic, large menu, friendly staff. We had the pastor tacos, queso fundido, carne asada burrito. Everything was top notch. They give chips, a bowl of salsa and then 3 squeeze bottles of green mild sauce, red extra hot and guac sauce. Let me just say the red bottle will literally light you up! If you like authentic Mexican definitely stop in. Side note: most of the staff don't speak much English. My husband speaks a small amount so that was very helpful.

Not sure how this restaurants scores of 4.7 but the salsa was horrible. The chips were flat, the cheese enchilada with a white sauce, very bland. The rice was greasy and the carne Asada was very fatty and oily. Not like California! Please try to improve on your sauces and flavors

This restaurant is a hole in the wall, but it was worth it! We walked in, got seated right away and the server was very attentive! The chips and salsa were really good as well. We will go back for sure!

I was hoping to like this place but it was just so so. The decor was nice but some of the booths were in bad shape; seats with holes in them or taped up. The torta was not awful but when you've been to la Torta Loca it was very disappointing. On a good note their birria taco sauce was good.

He Said: We got here at 9 after a longish drive and were concerned they were closing early when we saw they had chairs up on tables and just a few folks left, but they welcomed us in. The remaining patrons all seemed to know each other or the staff so there was lots of fun chatter and people enjoying a calm Friday night. We ordered a well-earned margarita and, based on previous reviews, knew to ask for the other salsas they have (other than what they bring with the basket of chips). The habañero one is properly spicy and still tasty and the tomatillo one was bright and flavorful. Because I grew up eating them in San Diego I ordered taquitos and they were great. They were clearly hand-rolled and with a generous amount of beef inside. So good.She Said: I was so happy to see this place within easy walking distance of our hotel, and we were welcomed with a smile despite arriving as they were obviously cleaning up for the night. The margarita hit the spot, and we tried to refrain from filling up on chips and salsa--as He noted the salsa was great. The chips weren't anything special, but just served as vehicles for the tasty salsa, so that's fine.The true star of the show was the pork in the carnitas tacos. I'm not exaggerating when I say it was some of the best meat I've ever had in a taco. It was perfectly cooked and its flavor was complemented by the toppings--especially if you mix the tomatillo salsa with just a bit of the habanero. All in all, i would be happy to eat one of these tacos every day for the rest of my life, and I'm sad that I'll probably never be coming through this town again and won't get to have another. But the memory will live on!Potty Points: No trip to the potty for me this time!

Always enjoy dinner here after shopping in Florence. They have menudo and fried tialapia with head and bone, must be very authentic Mexican food. If you pay cash here you save the credit card charge that a lot of the places are doing.
