Taku Japanese Steakhouse

I went to dinner with my GF and my cousin. I found this restraint as it half way between my cousin and I. I am very glad I did.When we first walked in, the decor is very nice and clean. There is a sit down sushi bar where you can watch the masters create your sushi dishes. There are no hibachi tables, but you can get all your favorites off the menu.Our server was very nice. He was quick to take our order and the food was delivered in a very reasonable amount of time. I ordered the sushi boat for my dinner, as I hadn't eaten all day. It was some of the best sushi I have had in a while. I also ordered the shumai which was delicious.My cousin and GF both got a hibachi dinner and it looked amazing. They both had nothing but great things to say about the dish. They were also greatly accommodating to my cousin who is gluten intolerant.Overall, if you find yourself in the area, this place is a great choice. Great service, excellent atmosphere and delicious food!

The menu selections are typical of Japenese steak house - the servings are quite generous and tasty!Waiting staff very friendly. I like this place!

The food here is always very good. I've never dined in. I've only ever had carryout. As far as the carryout service, I have had no problems. They are always very polite and quick. From what I have seen of the restaurant, it has a nice atmosphere. Again, I've never dined in, so I haven't gotten the full experience. It is quite nice on the inside, though.

Okay so first time here, and I'll take into consideration that they are severely understaffed. But I won't be coming back. The hostess was very odd, could barely hear her and she had headphones in, and not very helpful. The apps were very good and fast. But our server was so overwhelmed he was forgetting who ordered what. Bought us someone else's food. Then gave us our hibachi entree before giving us the soup and salad that comes with. When we did finally get them, the lettuce is old and oxidized red and the soup was lukewarm. Our entrees were flavorless but hot. And to top it off, we ordered water and couldn't drink it at all because of the awful horrible stale taste.

Good food, clean restaurant, great selection, quantity is good, and fair prices (even post pandemic!!). Keep it up, Taku. Once full crowds come back, you will be well positioned. They can be short staffed, but - hey / that's the challenge everywhere right now. Just stay the course. My family loves coming here.

The food is super! The employees are awesome! And you can get more traditional Japanese cuisine here than a lot of the other local restaurants! The atmosphere is relaxed and classy, but casual enough to feel comfortable. Please, give this place a try. Keep them open!! My favorite is the Nabe Yaki Udon. And of course the sushi is on point!

My family loves their food! It's my favorite restaurant in the Xenia area. They always get our order correct, too!

Best restaurant in Xenia!!! The food is fantastic I had a Bento Box and my friend had sushi. There wasn't a bite left on our plates. My teriyaki salmon was authentic and perfectly cooked. The tempura vegetables were the best I've had outside of Los Angeles or New York. The sushi was delicious and portions were generous. Service was excellent Please support this awesome restaurant! Lunch prices are very reasonable if that's a concern.

The crab Rangoon was awesome. Had a sauce that wasn't as sweet as other places, more spicy and it was awesome. The sushi was really good too. I loved their dumplings too!
