We came on taco Tuesday. We waited over an hour, probably close to 75 minutes, but they had issues with the propane tank. That was communicated to us roughly 45 minutes into our wait. We ended up canceling the order, but I feel like it could have been handled better. Comped drinks? Bring chips and salsa during the wait? Better communication? Our friend we were with said this happened to them a few months ago. Knowing this has happened at least twice, I probably wouldn't rely on here for dinner, especially with young kids. Hopefully they can get something figured out

My wife and I visited Barrel House with a couple friends last week, which is where Taco Fuerte seems to be parked most of the time. They were having some anniversary celebration, which made the El Hefe tacos $2 each. The rest of the tacos were $4-5 each.We ordered 4 of the El Hefe, since they were the only taco on sale. We got 2 chicken, 1 pork, and 1 ground beef. We also wanted to try a couple other tacos, so we ordered a Chimmi-Chimmi-Ya and a SoCal Fish. The tacos came out about fifteen or twenty minutes later--not a bad wait at all. They were about the size I was expecting, probably 4-inch tacos; a little small for $5--unless they were absolutely fantastic--but a reasonable size for $2.I grabbed the ground beef El Hefe taco and took a bite. It was filled with pico de gallo, cilantro, cotija, and lime crema, lots of very flavorful toppings, and yet the taco had very little flavor. I didn't taste much of lime or cotija, and the ground beef barely any seasoning. The pork El Hefe taco was the same for the toppings, and the pork was very dry. The chicken was definitely the best of the three, with a bit more flavor and juice, but still nothing exceptional. The fish taco was similarly lackluster. The Chimmi-Chimmi-Ya was definitely the best of the bunch. Tasty brussel sprouts and a cilantro cashew chimichurri that was packed with flavor. I think the taco could have still used another ingredient or two to better complement the dish, but I was not disappointed with this one.We hung out for a few hours and ended up ordered a few more chicken El Hefe tacos. This batch was considerably better than the first (at this time it was past dinner hour, so I would assume that contributed to the quality). The chicken had so much more flavor and was very juicy. Also, they had something called a Birthday Cake Taco, which we were excited to try, assuming it was some sort of waffle taco shell with cake inside, very fancy, etc. But then we saw someone else order one. It was literally just a slice of cake on a tortilla. Why even put it on the menu? Overall, it's hard to complain about $2 tacos, even when you probably need 4-5 of them to be full. But even some of the more expensive tacos I felt were low quality and low flavor. I probably will not be back unless the tacos are once again $2.

First time here! I'm giving three stars mainly because the food was ok, service was good but it's way OVERPRICED for what you get! I got 2(3 tacos in an order) orders of the Birri Tacos one Barbacoa(which was ground beef not shredded) and Carnitas, 1 order of Elote, Chips and Salsa, Chips and Guacamole, Queso and Chips and their Dessert Cheesecake Taco(it was really good) it was over $68 bucks! Way Way overpriced! Wasn't terrible but not worth it.

This amazing taco truck is right behind Braxton Brewing's barrel house! Nothing better than ice cold beer and sizzling hot tacos! The staff is super friendly and the food comes out fast! Nothing like live music in a Saturday with some friends, beers and tacos! We will be back!

Worst tacos I have ever had. I downloaded Yelp again just to warn people about this place. I am from Brownsville, TX we're tacos are the most authentic and this place is not it. I was extremely disappointed by the lack of care, flavor and salsa. It was too overpriced. Each taco was $4-$5. I also tried the churro taco and the "churro" didn't even have sugar OR cinnamon. I'm sorry, I forgot to take pictures but if you want to see for yourself, go for it but I warned you. They're not even picture worthy.

Braxton needs a new food truck because Taco Fuerte is terrible. Tried it on 2 different occasions, and both were equally awful. The guac is loaded with so much salt that you can't even tell you are eating guacamole. The salsa is clearly a processed and bottled fire roasted store bought variety. The queso is actually the one thing that is pretty solid. Taco trucks are usually really good, but the tacos here are really abysmal. I have ordered 5 different tacos, and I wouldn't order a single one again. They are small wraps of tasteless mush. Nothing fresh about them at all, and you'll be covered in grease while eating them. Its like they just buy frozen taco meats from Walmart and put them sparingly on a shell. Braxton Barrel House is a great place, so I don't know why they continue to have this as their only food option.

Come here about once a week for tacos and the loaded tots are always bomb! I always get the Birria tacos and these are the best Birria tacos and consume in NYK and probably the whole Midwest. The el hefe tacos are also very delicious!
