Szechuan House

I have been dining here for over 30 years!!! Best egg rolls & home cooked food. Order to go or buffet. You will never be disappointed.

I came to this based on the ratings, and on Christmas Day. My family of 3 paid 76.00 for the buffet, and it was extremely disappointing. Food quality was not good, service was "meh", and the ambiance was overshadowed by the leak stained ceilings. The dessert bar was laughable, and I couldn't wait to leave. I won't be back.

Went Christmas Day. They were of course busy, but the buffet was sparse and some things were over cooked.

I found the lunch buffet to be below average. To begin with all of the dishes I had were definitely not hot, but on the side of room temperature? The eggrolls were disappointing as they're filled with a minced meat, maybe chicken? I don't think it was pork. The spring roll was slightly better. Everything from the beans, noodle dishes, chicken, and beef dishes were warm at best. This is a lunch buffet I would not return to.

One of the features of Yelp that I love most is the ability to find examples of a certain type of food in a few different areas. Example: we're far from home. Yelp find me Szechuan food between Columbus and Blue Ash. I check out everything in south Columbus then redirect the search and decide on the Szechuan House on Lebanon road. Before you know it we're being seated.A very polite woman handled us from greet to fortune cookies. We were in time for their early bird, but it's really just a smaller portion for a lesser price.My beef lo mein came out timely but stone cold. The waitress wasted no time reheating it. Actually, the place was empty, so it wasn't much of a challenge. It was still greasy and without flavour, but warm. The same with the fried rice. The egg roll had a funny texture, like that of a cream cheese rangoon. It tasted just fine. Just a bit weird to bite into. The wonton had the smallest dumplings I've seen, but, it too was great tasting. The hot tea was bland as was the orange chicken. In the end we had to remind the nice lady that we ordered the special (since it was before 6:30pm). She adjusted the bill and we were off. In the future this will work in a pinch. I can't us making it our go to. 12/21

The best! Lunch dinner all of it! We order dinner, lunch buffet is the best around. The service is quick and without problems!

Food is tasty but is cold. They have a nice selection on the buffet . Been there twice for lunch and both times it was cold

We have been eating at Szechuan House for years and we love it! You can count on the food being the same all of the time. We go on the weekend for the Buffet. The staff is great! We eat there every week. If it weren't that great, we wouldn't make the drive. Go eat there! The dinner Buffet is on Friday and Saturdays. They also serve the Buffet at Lunch time throughout the week. A+

Great food at a fair price. Service is very good! Definitely recommend for a great lunch or dinner!
