Sweet Tooth Candies

On a warm summer evening people are lined up here and there's a good reason. The ice cream is to die for. I actually had a snoball with ice cream in the middle, and strange as it sounds I've been thinking about it ever since. I can't wait to go back for another.There's a cute little sitting area on the side of the building, and we loved watching people.The store itself makes it's own candy, and while I didn't partake this day, you know I will. Actually it will be a great place to buy gifts when I need one. Parking can be problematic, but even if you have to park way up the street, that will help you work those calories off!

look forward to summer every year just to get a a nectar ice ball with ice cream (the ice cream sandwiches are worth the trip too)

As a kid the start of Sweet Tooth's ice ball season signaled that summer was here and school was about to be out. I grew up getting the the rainbow ice ball. It was actually dark purple once all the colors were poured on it-- but who the heck cares?!Eventually the order changed to the peanut butter fudge ice cream... and I remember the first time I had it. It had HUGE CHUNKS of their homemade peanut fudge. It was SO delicious. But now, the pieces are small and almost unrecognizable- so I'm knocking a star off. I still go to sweet tooth- it's a nostalgic spot. Those ice balls are still delicious- and if you don't get that bad boy made with ice cream you're not doing it right.

I never write reviews, but I just had one of the worst customer service experiences of my life here, so I feel I need to warn others. Staff seemed annoyed that my friend and I were there giving them business. Very rude employees that spoke to me like I was stupid. They also rolled their eyes at me multiple times throughout the transaction. I just purchased a few pieces of chocolate, and it doesn't even taste good... way too expensive for the quality you receive. A .50 candy bar from a gas station tastes way better than the candy here, and you won't have to deal with extremely rude employees that act like you're bothering them. Save your money and go elsewhere. I have no clue how this place stays in business.

Ah, the Ice Ball: not quite a sno-cone, not quite ice cream, but a delightful concoction of both.No where else in the city can I delight in the goodness of that which is the Ice Ball. It comes in two sizes: medium and gigantic. A medium is more than enough for anyone. With a dozen different syrups to choose from and even more flavors of ice cream, you can mix-n-match your Ice Ball.My favorites: - Blue Raspberry with coconut ice cream - Lime with vanilla ice cream - Root Beer with vanilla ice creamOf course, you can also get scoops of ice cream here; I'm a fan of the mocha and chocolate chip. Plus there's sundaes and shakes, as well as a huge candy counter where you can box up sweets as gifts.There are only a few tables inside Sweet Tooth, but if the weather is nice, you can eat on the bench out in front and watch the Newportians pass by. Price per person: $3.50

I try to stay away from ice cream as much as possible (for obvious reasons) but this place is so conveniently located near my house, and it's so damn good, I just can't stay away. I'm fairly certain that all their ice cream is homemade, but I don't even care because it tastes sooooo good. The prices aren't lower than any of your standard, run of the mill ice cream establishments, but they're very generous with their portions and will pretty much make whatever it is you want them to make. Recommendations:(1) Anything as a sundae (2) ICE BALLS! with ice cram ...My friend got a coconut/strawberry ice cream mixture and I swear to you, all you needed was a bit of rum added to the mix, and the heavens would have opened up. (3) Mint chocolate chip ice cream.Side note: they are a general candy store so they sell all kinds of other tasty treats like truffles, caramel, and chocolate covered Oreos. Need I say more?? Come on over to Newport. We don't bite ;-)

Some of the best ice cream I've had. Extremely creamy and flavorful. I tried the peanut butter chocolate chunk, and I will definitely be trying it again. Nice, local shop with quality offerings.

Delicious peach ice cream. Good prices. The only downside is the lack of seating inside and the slightly sketchy meighborhood

The guy working their was soooo sweet he was really friendly and he really knows how to talk to a old lady. I hope that good things come his way!

Stopped taking orders two days before Easter. False advertisement - Could not fulfill orders for what they were advertising on their sign out front. Store clerk also hung up on me when I called to inquire further.
