The course is nice and the staff is friendly, but they are double booking. Eight groups were on the 1st tee when we arrived. Waited over an hour to tee off. Speed of play is really slow. !8 holes took over 5 hours without stopping at the turn. I won't be going back.

Most seasoned golfers know about GolfNow.com and the insane bargains that can come from it, GolfNow I will admit brought me here. It is getting late in the season so I am trying to squeeze in the last rounds before its too cold getting tee times is often hard at the last minute but Sugar Ridge had a special $12 for 18 holes and a cart on GolfNow. Optimistic at the price I was ready for a course covered in leaves and chewed up tee boxes. I was wrong the fairways and tee boxes were surprisingly still intact this late in the season. The greens were fast, typical for cold weather but not like other places in the fall the bunkers actually had soft sand and was raked. I would rather not be in a bunker a playable one takes the sting off an added stroke.A nice feature about Sugar Ridge is that they have their own app. The app via your phone acts as a range finder to the green. It is a great idea but it seems to me like they changed the greens since the app was made. The course layout is typical of what you see along the river valley and on the westside - which means hilly and blind holes. This is what I grew up playing on so it was not too bad for me but for my partner who grew up in Florida he found the trees more often than the fairways. There is one totally blind hole on 5 where you shooting up hill and have no idea whats on the other side. My advice here is to follow the tree line. The club house is fairly small but has everything you need. I did not see any concession carts when I was out but that's typical for late season, they might during the summer.Finding it is a bit tricky because its in middle of the woods and off an adjacent sidestreet but follow the signs and you should be fine. If you are a really long player you might want to leave your driver in the bag on a few holes. Most importantly if you have not played here before, follow the course map on the score card. No need to break any windows or lose those ProV1's

The course was nice and seemed well taken care of but the only reason I give three stars is because of the pace of play. It was the slowest 18 holes I have ever played. We waited 10-15 minutes between each hole. If the pace was faster id give 4 stars.

The course was medium difficulty and ran through a beautiful neighborhood of houses. The course starters were very courteous. The club food was fast and convenient. I would defiantly come back and play 18 holes again!

Course was okay, pace of play was ridiculous. Took us 6 hours to finish 18. Management is horrible and rude!

Why isn't there a negative star option? Apparently you can't go out and have a good time and golf, it's actually the PGA tour but played so slow. Complaining we played too slow but then waited 15 minutes to tee off because two groups were holding us up. Lost our tee time and then forced our groups to split. Never come here you will play for so long and have no fun and maybe crash your cart on the terrible paths. -5 stars

I heard good things about the course but wasn't impressed. They charged me 11 dollars extra since I was a single. I won't be back. Every tee box was destroyed and had grass like my backyard. The greens were torn to pieces. I wouldn't pay 10 dollars to golf on that course. Avoid! It took almost 3 hours to play 9 at 2 on a Sunday. I stopped at 12 even though I paid for 18.
