Strong's Brick Oven Pizzeria

We used to be regular customers here after they first opened but it went quickly and steadily went downhill in quality and service. Having not been in a while, I ordered from them this weekend. I ordered the Meatball appetizer, first time ordering it, and the small 3 Cheese Bianca with added Prosciutto. I arrived to pick up my pizza at the time I was told it would be ready and when I was handed it I could tell it was barely warm. The meatballs were hot and pretty good. They had a nice texture and good flavor. My husband and I both liked them. The pizza wasn't very good. It was cold and even looked cold. How cheese gets when it has sat for too long. I warmed it up a bit to make it edible but it just wasn't that great. We were reminded as to why we don't eat here anymore. Even though it says under new management on the sign - it's obvious that didn't help. And then this morning our local community page posted that the building is up for sale. Go figure...

Strong's checks all the boxes for my personal favorite taste of pizza. The crust is a thin crisp with a light chewy circumference. I really love how bright and acidic their red sauce is. I find myself requesting light cheese at other pizzerias to accommodate my personal preference but at Strong's each pie has the right amount of mozzarella. I only ever get pepperoni (my fave)... pizza doesn't need to be complicated; am I right? I've had the salads and they aren't green enough for me BUT the house made dressings and sauces are fantastic. I also quite enjoy the wings; probably a nod to the sauces. One time, I visited around my birthday and the bartender whipped up a pink birthday shot for the occasion! It was a very kind gesture. Strong's is my favorite go-to local pizzeria.

If it's convenient, grab your pizza here! But, I won't be going out of my way for a repeat visit. Basic and some creative pizza options, wings, etc. Nothing was wrong or bad, but nothing stood out or wow'ed my tastebuds either. Environment/ambiance was also standard or basic and maybe even a little dated. Service was adequate, but we did have to get up to request water, silverware, and napkins. Parking was easy in attached lot.

Decided to try here again almost a year later and still experienced the same poor service.The fries are a laughable portion. Unbelievable they are that expensive.The best part was the hand written sign on the table by the oven "if you're sitting here clock out and go home. You've already been told before".The pizza, is very good. Maybe next year.

This was our favorite pizza close to home but it has been inconsistent over the last year. We don't go once a week anymore, more like every few months. I still enjoy it, just not consistently the same product.

Here for wing week, the Garlic Parmesan wing flavor and bleu cheese were top tier. The wings were just okay, they taste like pre made wings so they weren't terrible. I love the old ambiance and character of the old pizza place. I'll have to come back and try it out. Service was efficient,but nothing 5 star worthy. I could see why it's a neighborhood gem.

The pizza was amazing! We were in town for a conference and looking for a good pizza. The reviews for Stonge's Brick Oven Pizzeria were spot on. The pizza was done perfectly, the service was great. I think it was owner who served us was really friendly and took care of us well. It's a quaint spot that makes for a wonderful meal.

This is definitely one of my top 3 favorite pizza places. The pizza tastes really good and the service is average. The only thing I would like is if they made the building have a more modern feel.

Delicious! While the service isn't 5 star, the folks who work here are very nice. If they forget to bring napkins, they apologize. No big deal. The pizza is well worth it. I'll keep going back and enjoying the great food.

Amazing pizza and appetizers! I can't stand these reviews having a minimum of letters when you only need to hear how good the food is.
