I was really underwhelmed here. I came to check it out and get one of the final stamps on my Dayton Ale Trail. It was a nice evening so all the doors were open. Inside they had trivia going on, which was super loud for the small space. Outside a bunch of people were smoking. We tried to sit outside in the corner but it wasnt great. The atmosphere overall is very rustic. Our beertender was friendly. The beer I had was just ok and not very cold. There are plenty of places to park for free nearby.

Down the street from Lucky Star Brewing, we tried to get some canned beer here but they were all out. Since we already got growlers at Lucky we will need to come back. This is also a winery, and they have merchandise for sale. Seems like a fun place to have a brew judging by the weather rock outside. Can't wait to come back to check out the beer.

Went there for a drink on a weekday. My friend was had beer and she didn't like any of them and I had two glasses of wine. I get this is a beer place but come on, that was barely wine. It was basically apple juice with a hint of alcohol. Your cheapest grocery store wine is better than that. A man "waited" on our table and asked if he could take away an empty glass. We said yes and he asked if my friend knew what her next drink was going to be. Then she went inside to order and overheard the manager telling the bartender "you know that guy doesn't work here right?". Who was this guy?!

I have had good and bad experiences in here. Tonight was a bad one. Meagan is maybe the worst bar tender I have had. Served me the twisted mill stout without an explanation of the flavor. Very strong coffee flavor. Not my style so I would not rate high on untapped. Took total attitude with me. Warned me how it would affect ratings. That's what Untapped is for lol! Very rude. She was more interested in what time it was and how everything affected her than the experience the customer was having. Typical snowflake mentality. Their is no brewery without the customer! Maybe she will realize that one day. The beer here is decent but the service on this night gave attitude and put herself first before the patron. Don't waste your time here unless Allie is in there. She gets it

Star City is a top notch local brewery providing a variety of brews and wines. If you can't find something that suits your tastes, you don't enjoy alcoholic beverages. The bar staff are as friendly as they come and make sure you enjoy your experience while you're here. The owner is a friend and trusted source of brew knowledge. Everything here is worth a try, but not everything is for everyone. Couldn't ask for a better hometown brewery!

The staff here is super friendly. They have a very wide selection of beer, cider, and seltzers. You can flavor a seltzer with almost any flavor combination. Have fun with that! Strawberry/Maple for a strawberry waffle. Espresso/ chocolate, coconut/lime, you dream it and they will make it. Enough about the seltzer, the beers are good, with a wide variety. The building is legit, I believe almost 100 years old. They have board games, pool, ping pong, skeeball and more. A fun place to hang out for sure.

I've now been here a handful of times and it's mostly on the local Pub Run nights. I've had different beers each time and they are all just so-so. Nothing terribly bad, but nothing great either. They don't have food, which is a huge bummer and something I wish more breweries would have. The place itself is nice and fairly big. They have a nice outdoor area with large picnic tables. The staff is always really great and helpful with beer suggestions. I'll definitely continue trying beer out when I come here in hopes I find something I enjoy.

This is a really nice brewery. When you walk in, the staff is really nice. They have a game room with board games to play. We were not there when a food truck was there, so we had to eat popcorn. I would love to go when food is available. You can order in and they will suggest locations. Overall, we had a lot of fun and the bartender was fun to deal with.

Our stop here on the Dayton Ale Trail was so much fun. Cannot say enough good things. The staff was so kind and knowledgeable and the beers were amazing! We tried them all! If they have Honey, I'm Feeling Spicy - it's a must try! We will definitely be going back and not just because they're a stop on the ale trail!! 10/10 recommend!!

The staff at SCBC are top notch, and make any visit a pleasant one. I'm not even a big fan of beer, but I can always find something to drink, such as the delicious apple pie cider. The space has a homey feel and the other patrons have generally been pleasant to be around, especially when hanging around upstairs in the game room. Star City has also been a fabulous meeting ground for private events when renting out the upstairs for a group of out of town friends. I was introduced by a friend myself, but would definitely go back solo and it would be a first stop with my own out of town friends. Justin truly has created a fantastic space to enjoy his curation of libations, and we will definitely be back often.
