Stables at Windy Knoll

The bar restaurant is located at Windy Knoll golf course. Good for a beer or drink after a round. Also good for a sandwich. Their burger is solid. Service is great.

Come here for the well done décor and peaceful surroundings, more than for the food. It's a good, basic menu, mainly bar food (burgers, subs, pizzas, with a couple of higher priced (surf and turf) entrees, no major surprises. Our office came here for Christmas and it was beautifully decorated, if a bit of a tight squeeze. Great service for our large group, and relatively reasonable prices. My ginger spiced salmon was pretty dry, but the rest of the group's orders looked pretty good, including a couple of perfectly cooked NY strip steaks, a couple of burgers, subs, and a few "personal" sized pizzas. Our cheese curd and pretzel bite apps were ok, but definitely not made in-house. Looks like they've got a few interesting dessert choices, but no one chose any on this visit.This is a fine choice if you're in the area, or golfing on this beautiful course, but it's not really a "go out of your way" destination. They also cater special events, and it IS a beautiful setting for that, check it out!!

Calm and peaceful place to grab a drink or something to eat. Whether your coming off the course or just in town looking for some good food, this is a decent place to go. Service is a bit impersonal but pretty quick. The food itself I would give a solid 7 of 10. Some of the items seem like freezer food but still out together well and tweaked to be tasty. We sat on the patio on a cool evening and it was very peaceful with a great view of the course and fountain. I would suggest giving it a try with some friends but maybe not with the younger family members. Could use a bit of cleaning, but still a pretty solid place to enjoy some time with friends.

I just joined Yelp to specifically make sure everyone knew what a horrible place this is. This was, by far, the worst wedding venue I have ever been to. The staff were rude, unprofessional, and poorly managed. From the beginning of the set up to the tear down, staff were extremely late which cost the bride and groom extra money. They were rude to the bridal party, guests, but mainly children. They targeted children and made them stay inside the venue (which was unbearably hot). We had to leave early due to the hostile environment, but altercations were had and Windy Knoll staff falsely reported issues and slandered the bride and groom. On top of that, they still wanted their money for ridiculous up charges. Please... If you want your wedding day to be special, never pick this venue!

Pretty good food, nice atmosphere and good for big groups. Nice to not eat at a chain

This restaurant is far from adequate. We went with large group for special occasion. The kitchen was overwhelmed and unable to get food out of the kitchen on time. Food for several guests was overcooked or cold.No manager was on the premises to resolve the issues at the time. Contact with Management after the fact was met with apathy. The General Manager said that he couldn't believe anything I said since they serve great food. Ostrich burying head in sand comes to mind. Customer service was non existent. Truly sad that restaurant with this type of service cant accept any criticism. Stay away!!!

The worst food ever. The salmon was too dry to eat. They gave me a dry backed potato (seemed to be rewarmed in the microwave). I ordered fries, not baked baked potato. My dining friend ordered shrimp and left them. They ere not fresh. We will not be back.

Great experience, course in great shape despite maintenance to the course,was removing 20 bunkers and making remaining bunkers fluffier, great value $28 for senior riding 18holes ...staff was friendly and helpful as always...well worth the drive from south of Dayton to play this course

One of the best golf course is Ohio. Conditions are always great. Prices are reasonable. Walking is always allowed. The restaurant is good too. One of my favorite courses in Ohio.
