Enjoyed our date night here! The sticky pork belly bites were tender and very flavorful. If you are craving a yummy and sweet cocktail, I recommend the strawberry rhubarb! The maple bourbon salmon with spaghetti squash and kale was delicious, although I would have liked a slightly larger portion of the veggies. Both of our dishes were easily cleaned off ;)Our waiter was nice but SO overbearing. I think he just had a lot of energy and clearly likes to chat, but unfortunately it came off as trying too hard. It made us feel a little uncomfortable with how often he checked on us or the jokes and phrases he kept whipping out.

Hubby and I tried out S & C recently and enjoyed our lunch there. It definitely had a more modern vibe and we had our choice of sitting in a booth, regular table & chairs and high tops. We opted for the booth as I think they are the most comfortable. Really liked the drum pendants lights in the section we were in. Black on the outside and gold on the inside - looked very upscale. Our waitress was friendly and accommodating. There seemed to be quite a bit of food. As a matter of fact, it was so much that we another complete meal for dinner that night. Altogether we had a grilled cheese sandwich with fig jam , Caesar salad, tater tots (my weakness) and a grain bowl filled with cucumber, tomatoes, pickled chilies, shredded kale, goat cheese, and fresh herbs with lemonvinaigrette to which I added chicken. All very tasty. Would go back for dinner sometime.

Spoon and Cellar is located inside the Holiday Inn and Suites on Broadway Street in downtown Cincinnati. Doors open for dinner at 4:00pm, and it is within walking distance of the Aronoff Center, perfect for a meal before or after a show. Inside, there is a sign to "seat yourself", so we picked one of the leather booths in the back near the kitchen. There were coat/purse hangers on the posts of the booths, which was very convenient. We had to wait for a few minutes before the waitress noticed us, but as soon as she did, she brought waters and menus to the table. She suggested the Prickly Pear Margarita, but I opted for the Blackberry Limeade Mocktail instead. It was refreshing with a sour kick and came in a vibrant magenta hue. This month, S&C is also offering a specialty cocktail menu with drinks themed after the "Beetlejuice" musical, which is playing at the Aronoff Center. The only problem with the drinks was that my glass had obvious stains around the rim, so I had to drink with a straw. Every appetizer on the menu looked especially "appetizing", and I ordered the loaded tots. They were layered with ranch dressing and cheese and garnished with green onions and bacon bits. There were only 2 people in my party, but this appetizer was enough to serve 3-4 people. For dinner, my mother had the bacon grilled cheese, which had three different kinds of cheese, along with fig jam and caramelized onions. The sandwich seemed to be overloaded with cheese, and the real shining star of the dish was the shoestring fries. There was a heaping helping, enough for 2 people to split, and every fry was crispy and perfectly salted. I had the gnocchi, which was served in a cast-iron skillet and topped with fresh burrata and breadcrumbs. The dish looks small, but don't let that fool you! There was so much pasta that I couldn't finish it all.Overall, dinner at Spoon and Cellar was very satisfying after an afternoon at the theater, and I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a sophisticated, yet convenient lunch or dinner before or after a show!

Very happy with the menu, the ambiance, and the pricepoints. Great drink selection, and included a couple of mocktails as well - nice touch. We had reservations, and were seated promptly. We ordered pork belly bites for our apps, and it was probably my favorite part of the meal. My wife ordered the Pappardelle and I ordered the Ghost Chicken sandwich with a side of broccolini. Except they brought the broccolini out with the appetizer - odd, but it was delicious, I had just expected it with our meals. The Pappardelle had decent flavor, and the noodles were cooked properly...but it was more of a soup than noodles in a cream sauce. We asked for more Parmesan, and it helped a little, they just missed the mark on the dish. The Ghost Chicken Sandwich Spoon & Cellar "is known for," really was just okay. The chicken was cooked well, and I loved the coating on it. Jalapeno slaw was also really good. But the sauces were made out to be so hot I needed to order them on the side - well, I did and the Ghost sauce was maybe a 3.5 on any given Thai restaurant scale. All in all, it was a good time. If someone else suggests it, I'd go back.

I've been to this restaurant three times and everything ranged from decent to excellent. I will say that though this restaurant is linked to a hotel it is more of a finer dining experience and prices are not cheap. The aesthetics of the restaurant are very nice. The service is great and they have tons of drinks options with a full bar. The bar also has seating, so you can also stop by just for drinks. In terms of appetizers the best was the summer squash fritters. They were absolutely fabulous. The dipping sauce was creamy and tasty while the summer squash fritters were dough filled with veggies and a little hint of spice. Perfect combination. The mushroom soup was also good and I really enjoyed the spinach and artichoke dip. I like my dip to be on the cheesy side, which this was.As for main dishes. The ones that were very delicious was the chicken Milanese and pork chop. The chicken Milanese was fried extremely well and the pork chop was good to perfection topped with the perfect glaze. The brussel sprouts were also cooked well, crispy and well seasoned. As for entrees that were okay. The chicken piccata and steak and chimchurri were not the best but not bad. The chicken was a bit tough and the steak was not as seared as I would have hoped for it to be. The chimchurri sauce was also a bit bland. But overall Id definitely come back. They change their menu often and have a nice variety of drinks. I absolutely loved my mocktails and so did my dad! This place would make a lovely place to have a date night, celebration with friends or family or perfect night out to have some drinks.

My sister and I recently dined at Spoon & Cellar to celebrate her birthday. I left wonderful where this fine rest has been all my life.I started off with a decadent Chocolate Raspberry Kiss Martini, which was one of their limited-time specialty drinks. Yum! One of the best martinis I've ever had. For my entree, I ordered the Grilled Salmon, which was served with roasted brussel sprouts and fingerling potatoes. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. It was also the perfect-sized entree, not too large, not too small. Fortunately, my husband and I left a little room for dessert and shared a piece of caramel cheesecake with candied pecans. Each bite was a little slice of heaven. In addition to the mouth-watering dishes, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and the service was lightning-fast. The next time you.find yourself in downtown Cincinnati or you're looking for a place to go on date night, I highly recommend that you stop into Spoon & Cellar. Bon Appétit!

Food was good, but restaurant was totally empty on a Thursday night. Didn't love that it was part of the hotel.

My friend and I went here before a show at the Aronoff because it was close and there was no other place to get a reservation. We came in and we're surprised to find the place almost empty and to see a sign that said, "please seat yourself." It was dinner time in downtown Cincinnati so it was a little alarming how dead it was. The inside was nice but it definitely gave off hotel vibes which we soon learned made sense because it was connected to the holiday inn. However, we were optimistic for the meals and hoThe food was a little pricey for the little options they had. A lot of the food was handheld items like burgers, sandwiches, wings, etc. We needed up getting the flatbread and I got the pasta. The flatbread was yummy but it tasted like a pizza you could get from a fast food pizza joint. The pasta also was yummy but I felt was overpriced. We each ended up paying around $40 each which again, felt pricey for the simple ness of the food. Despite this, The waiters were super nice and attentive.

We had an amazing experience! The restaurant is on a corner connected to a hotel. A lot of reviews state this as an issue but I thought it made no difference! The service was amazing - Maurice was a doll. Our food was very tasty. We got the loaded tots to start and they were enough to be a whole meal (only $10!!!). We got the cellar burger and ghost chicken sandwich. The cellar burger was cooked nicely and tasted so delicious. The ghost chicken was spicy and tasty.
