Smiley's Pub

Not starting off very well. Service is beyond slow and the waiter screwed up the drink order. Yes, I seen him write it down. We received silverware, with a knife or a fork missing. One person did not receive any. I ordered the chef salad with thousand island dressing. Salad was of a good portion but the dressing had very little taste. My wife got the Greek salad and hers tasted fine. My beer (tall draft) Michelob Lite and it arrived flat. I'm going to add that we were here with another couple who said they have been here a dozen times before and the service was never like this. Maybe I'd come back and give it another chance, but not impressed today. Waiting on check, I hope they serve breakfast

Went to check out this spot not too long ago. Food was very nice and filling. Prices were right on point and wouldn't break your budget for good food. Service was kind of slow since there was only one server for a bunch on tables. Atmosphere was pretty great, but it does get loud with it being a pub. Would recommend for the great food and decor, but don't expect quick service. Overall it was a good experience.

Charming! It really looks and feels like an English pub. And the place is huge, multiple dining rooms in addition to the bar (taproom to a Brit), bricked archways, a pool room. I even saw a snuggery for goodness' sake. And I am SO sitting there when we return soon for a meal. It was just a couple beers this first visit. It's just brick and old wood everywhere you look. Tiffany lamps. It's gorgeous and dark.The beer garden is a big comfy outdoor area, walled off from the street, with tons of tables, all with big umbrellas, plus a comfy couch under its own shelter. I saw four giant heaters ready for the wintertime. The taproom and beer garden are strictly 21+. There's a pulltab dispenser machine for your gambling pleasure. The menu looks interesting, unfortunately nothing on offer that's really English other than fish and chips which is a shame. The atmosphere just cries out for black pudding or a shepherds pie. So I'm really rating 4 1/2 on that account but definitely rounding up, as it is such a cozy feelgood place.

Amazing staff, owner, food, variety of bourbon and Scotch. Ice cold beer.. Live music by very talented locals. Outdoor dining in the beer garden. Very friendly atmosphere.

Great service! Cold beer and delicious food what more could you ask for when your pass through this cute little town! Tom and Jerry burger won't disappoint

Looking for a good local joint. This is it. I ordered here for take out so didn't get the full experience but the food was amazing. The wings were great probably the best I've had in awhile. Will definitely be back for them.

Stopped by for a beer and dinner, food was excellent as was the service , I always try to support local establishments when I'm traveling , if your in the area give this place a try

Smiley's has had new owners since April 2012. They've made some changes and the place isn't so dark and dreary anymore. It is still pretty smokey inside though. I came here with a group of colleagues on a Thursday evening. The patio is great and relatively smoke-free during dinner hours. Smiley's is known for their pizzas and drink/food specials. They were really busy and the wait staff was ok, but obviously overwhelmed. It's a decent place to go after work for a drink in the evenings to sit outside in the summer. They offer local beer (New Boswell) on tap.I'm not sure I would come here on a weekend night just based on things I've heard around town. I hope they turn the bar around and will sponsor a few more smoke-free evenings.

Great outdoor atmosphere. Good food. Good prices. Indoor pool tables and bar. Recommend. Service was excellent

Probably the best bar in Richmond. Not that that is saying a lot but it is.
