Sloopy's

This place didn't have great reviews but all the reviews were very old so we gave it a shot. We were in town for our nephews baseball game. We were pleasantly surprised. It wasn't very busy being a Wednesday night, but the vibe was good. Typical sports bar. TVs and lots of dart boards. Decent sized bar. Lots of cocktail and shot options. The burgers are huge. They are half pound each. Flame grilled. Everything we had was delicious. I got the beer cheese burger. The beer cheese was delicious. The fries were very good. My husband had the mushroom and Swiss. Loved it. My nephew got the Philly and it was delicious too. I got a wild berry mule. Delicious. Cold beer. We would definitely go back!

Excellent food and service. Have had pizza, burgers, taco salad, and subs. All tastes great and service is spot on. Clean restaurant/bar.

This place has really gone downhill since being allowed to reopen. Little to no social distancing, enforced and staff not wearing masks. Kitchen staff can't seem to understand, a plain hamburger and fresh cut fries.

No service, no greeting. Stood waiting for a table and no one even greeted us. We decide to go the patio, maybe it was "pull your own table". Sooo we did. We sat at the table for 15mins and no one came over. So we left.

Great food. And the waitress are wonderful And to see Noah Back was icing on the cake.

First time coming to Sloopy's. Our starter was dill pickle chips which were hot, crisp and came with a delicious sauce. For our main dish we both had Mushroom & Swiss burger. It came on a Kaiser bun. The cheese and all ingredients were so fresh and tasty. We had a Moelller Brew Barn draft which was a great way to wash it down! We'll be back!

Worst meal we have ever had from here. I knew this place was going down hill but... Dang!Ordered pretzels with beer cheese and Philly fries.The beer cheese was so burnt and clumpy it was inedible. The Philly fries were ordered with no green peppers. It showed up with green peppers and so stuck to the paper that a third of the cheese, fries, etc was inedible. Could not peel the paper off of food. Money wasted. Do not waste your time or money on this place. They are definitely not holding themselves to any kind of standard these days.

My friends and I were in town for the races and we went to Sloopy's on 9/24/22 around midnight because it seemed to be the only thing open in the area. 3 of the 4 of us had been drinking all night and wanted a nightcap. I walked in and ordered a beer at the bar while my wife, brother and friend wandered in after me and was asked what they wanted to drink. They were looking for a table and since we're from out of town and have never been there, they didn't know what was on tap or what they wanted. Apparently they didn't respond quick enough because the blonde bartender yells to them that they are "being pussies" and she can't "help if they're just going to be a bunch of pussies." My wife, brother and friend all looked at each and asked what the heck just happened and was she really talking to them. The blonde walked away from the bar. The boys ended up ordering drinks from the other bartender. Within a couple of minutes, a guy with a STAFF shirt came out from the back and stood next to the bar and nonchalantly watched us! It was the craziest thing! All the other patrons were also staring. I hope it was because they couldn't believe that the bartender called us pussies but who knows. Maybe we didn't look like locals. We drank our beers and left, never to return. The pricing was great and it seemed like a clean place but if I'm spending my hard earned money on vacation, I don't think it's cool to be called names just for not ordering a drink within seconds of walking into an establishment that we've never been in. If she doesn't like working in customer service, she should find another job. On a side note, we went to lunch the next day and asked a waiter at the restaurant what he thought of Sloopy's and he said the customer service is horrible and he'd never go again. Sounds like we weren't the only ones unhappy with the place.

Don't show up thirsty unless waiting to be served a drink is your style. Atmosphere needs some revamping. Staff also needs a lot of training when it comes to customer service. Will not be back.
