Slim's Neighborhood Bar & Grille

I was doing some sight seeing in the area and came across Slim's for lunch. I walked and had a seat at a table so could get a look of the place. It has the feel of a local diner where everyone knows everybody. Server came over to get my drink order and brought over a menu. I checked it out and didn't really see anything. The sever point out the socials on the board. Sloppy Joes and fries sounded good, instead of fries I got the macaroni salad and an extra sloppy Joe.I love the hometown feel of the place. The food came and the sloppy joes were the way I liked them..messy. The macaroni salad was the right amount of mayo to make it creamy.

Definitely a funky place. Not a dive but certainly not fancy. I've only had brunch there, but I enjoyed it. I must say they were really busy, but despite that I felt the service was very good. I like their potatoes, but I was not a fan of the eggs. I must confess I did love having a "breakfast Manhattan".

Got it to go. There was no salsa or sourcream as the menu stated. Nothing special. Typical bland tortilla with cheese. Maybe instead of raw veggies, fresh Pico with cilantro and jalapeño

Hole-in-the-wall breakfast/ burger place that me and my family have been to a few times over the years. Usually no wait that we've experienced and the food is always good. It's definitely not fancy or anything but it hits the spot. I had the breakfast bowl which had hash browns with eggs over easy on top, cheddar cheese, bacon & sausage gravy on top. Served with toast. It was pretty good, I added hot sauce which helped balance the saltiness. Their biscuits and gravy is always good. It's been a while since I've had one but I recall their burgers being good as well.

Service is sub par, servers will not welcome you when you walk in and let you rot in the middle of the dining room floor to wait for your own table until someone finishes with their table or a kind person pities your group and gives you their own. Our food experience here was abysmal. Kitchen conveniently lost our ticket. Been at the place for an hour until our server finally decides to tell us that they've lost our ticket and will cover it. I don't know if its because we're the only non-white family to be there at the time, but we definitely did not feel welcome.Ambience is your typical old small town bar and grill - small country place. Might want to avoid if you're not white, as you may find yourself stared at and treated unfairly.

We stopped in today for late lunch and weren't disappointed. It's been a while since last visit. Both our burgers were excellent, cooked perfectly, though the buns don't hold up for more than a few bites (I don't really need the bread anyway). Onion rings are also top notch & tasty too. Our server is a hoot! It's a small town dive bar & grill, with the atmosphere to go with it - nothing fancy. We need to go more often to try other things on the menu, but those burgers are probably the best in the area.

Service is horrible 25 minute wait to order- 40 minutes for food. Place load and food nothing special. Never be back.

Went on a Saturday afternoon around 2:30p.m. and It was very busy. Several open tables, asked the waitress about seating ourselves and they confirmed we could. We waited 15 minutes and no one acknowledged us or offered us a drink. There was staff behind the counter but didn't come to interact with us. We eventually left without saying anything. Will definitely NOT be back.

I love this place! Classic neighborhood dive bar feel. Great food and great prices and I love that they have a patio.

Good people, price, atmosphere and food! Great small town restaurant, you'll definitely come back!
