Silverton Donut Shop

This O.G. donut shop has been making classics since the 80's. No frou-frou flavors on this rack. Cake donuts are on the left and yeast on the right. The baker-owner recommends the buttermilk. He said "it's like crack, you'll be back." I'm more of a yeast guy, but that buttermilk is real nice. The icing makes a slightly crunchy outer shell that seals in the soft cake inside. The glazed yeast is a pillowy golden delight. With every bite my stomach kept making room for the next. Cooked to perfection, you can tell this donut legend has mastered his craft. The shop has a vintage bar where you can sit down for a dunker, fresh hot coffee, and small talk with the old-timers. Don't bother ordering a frappe or anything than rhymes with "appuccino." They offered a Colombian and Highlander roast. I prefer mine fresh, hot, and black. Stick around long enough and you'll get to enjoy the friendly banter between the owner and his regulars. Everyone who came through tipped generously. You can tell they appreciate their local staple. Like every small business, the owner is working through some staffing challenges so call ahead and make sure they're open during the listed hours. You won't be disappointed. This is one of the Queen City's best donuts!

These donuts will make you do a jig as soon as you take a bite, fresh & delicious . I'm almost embarrassed to admit that this is my first time here, obviously a Cincinnati staple. The owner says they go quickly but suggests coming right at 6 a.m. when they are right out of the oven. Can't wait to get more of these donuts. Just a good, old school, classic donut.

Such a cute little local donut shop! The owner makes them all early in the morning, and they open until they sell out. The woman at the counter happily walked me through all the options and customer favorites. Someone had previously recommended the basic powdered sugar donut to me though, so I went with that choice.I usually don't even like powdered sugar donuts, but I was blown away by this one. It had like a nice crisp shell almost, and then the cake inside was soft and fresh without being too dense. I'll be getting a dozen of these next time.

The crunchy texture is why these are the best donuts period! I pass at least 4 bakeries going to Silverton and it is well worth the extra distance. 5-stars!

Local small business located in the heart of Silverton, with delicious donuts! We surprisingly have lived in the area nearly all our lives, but just now finally tried Silverton Donut Shop a few months back! We have been trying to support small businesses each week to help keep them going with the pandemic. Silverton Donut Shop had a good variety of donuts and at a price you can't beat. We order a variety of donuts and donut holes. Our young niece and nephew quickly ate their morning donut surprises! I enjoyed a glazed donut with sprinkles! This will continue to be in our morning donut rotation!

I love a good donut or 2, Silverton Donuts didn't disappoint! First time stopping in, too many choices to choose one so a dozen it is. The buttermilk donut was soft and sweet with a little crunch from the icing shell, the plain glazed was airy and soft, both in my opinion perfect donuts! Will definitely stop by again when in the area. Currently running a mid week special on dozen donuts, $9 instead of the normal $12.

Get your donuts here!!! They are the best in Cincinnati!Pros:-This is a local shop. You know where the money is going. Support them!-The donuts are DELICIOUS. So good. I crave them all the time. They are fresh, made everyday, perfect.-The Klunker is the best thing on the menu. It's a big ball of delicious, cake donut. -The workers are always so friendly and helpful! I typically order big batches for teachers and aides and they are always happy to listen to my specifics!Cons:-They sell out SO FAST. If I don't get there at 7 before school they are typically out of my favorites by 9. Overall, GO!!! This place is delicious, local, and worth your business!

These donuts are GOOD. We picked up some donuts on our drive to Gatlinburg and they were the perfect breakfast for a long drive - I honestly don't know when they wouldn't be a perfect breakfast! When I walked in I noticed a smaller selection than most donut shops - don't let that deter you! A couple donuts caught my eye - the Klunker (a big ball of cake donut), and the Honeymoon (essentially a yeast donut that has filling in the hole instead of being a filled donut). Even though I was so enticed by so many of the donuts, I chose the buttermilk donut. The buttermilk donut is Silverton Donut's Sour Cream Donut - my go to. The crew I was with purchased a half-dozen; the pricing is really good - $6 for 6 (AMAZING) donuts! Our selection was a buttermilk donut (honestly, the best sour cream type donut I have had in years! Just enough cakey-ness without being too dense; don't even get me started on how great the flavor was. This donut could contend for what I would chose for my last meal!), a Klunker, Honeymoon (which I was told was great because it had more filling than the Bavarian Creme!), a Bavarian Creme, Honey Stick, and the Cinnamon Apple Filled (which I was told tasted like an apple pie!). Everyone was so thrilled with their choices; all I can say is I will be back to try more AND get plenty of the Buttermilk Donuts (we will see if I share!). Just be sure to GET THERE EARLY! They sell out quickly, and once the donuts are gone they close!

I highly recommend the donut holes. Crisp on the outside and airy in the middle. Delicious! The apple crumble donut is also tasty - like eating an apple pie.

Went in at 9am on a Saturday and the donuts were hard, had a weird after taste, and the jelly donut only had jelly on one half of the donut when cut open. Really disappointed after seeing all the good reviews as well, would not recommend out of all the good donut places cincinnati
