I was in town visiting for Christmas and ended up working out here twice. This is to me your basic Jim. I liked it because it wasn't crowded, but maybe that was because of the holidays. It seemed like they have quite a few amenities. The gym was very clean and the equipment was old, but it worked. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The only part of the facility I used was the gym so I can't speak to anything else, but it had plenty of equipment to help me get my workout in.

This place is absolutely incredible for kids from ages 0-99! So many fun activities under one roof! Bowling, rock climbing, ropes course, trampoline park, full gym, pool, basketball court! I could go on. Plus I find the prices to be incredibly reasonable for everything you get. I value spaces like these that not only offer activities for the family, but also community for adults and kids alike. We will definitely be returning!

Canceled membership.... The landscaping has weeds and trash(cigarette buds) all over not a good sign walking in. The baby area has broken toys and look like all items are used donations. Not what should be for the money spent. The workers are on their phones and eating while children are crying on the floor. No interaction with them. Then older kids drop off area is a free for all. I was scared to put my kids in there. One wouldn't go in because to many mean big kids. And the 3 girls are sitting not at the desk on it on their phone. I literally asked one if she worked here. Walked up to them and they don't say hi or anything you have to just talk to put your kids in. Should have just went and got management. The children in there are abusing the equipment and they wonder why things aren't nice anymore. Children running up the big bounce house slide with 6 children on it. So not safe actually the health board or whomever licensed them should be called. Not to mention the all day camp kids are not watched... like a free for all. Then they leave areas and trash all over. They are not enforcing any manners or rules. Sad. Now the toddler area was so nice when opened but now it is a free for all of all ages which is not fair to the actual toddlers! There are no play toys in there and the ones in there are broken. How can this be a play area when there is no play dramatic toys for house grocery or repair shop. Beyond sad. And nothing to do with Covid. Was like this before. Now outside pool has become a mix of all kinds and not for the good :(. Lifeguards not following the rules. Not watching kids. Not enforcing any rules. And we have to pay for that. Trash all over broken chairs galore. Then the climbing wall never open!!!!!!!

We love this gym. Feels silly to call it a gym as it's so much more. We used to be members and at some point during the construction we switched over to another gym. There were multiple reasons but I figured it would be so much more crowded and non-members would clog the place up. NOT THE CASE!.. it's amazing! First, if my daughter was a toddler we would be here all the time!!! They have the coolest toddler area for your kids to play... next to their restaurant that serves alcohol and has an area of games for 21 and up... free.. huge pac man.. golf and shuffleboard...We have yet to bowl but will soon... I was worried it was like great wolf lodges bowling because they are both hanging pins.... looks a million times better and can't wait to try it and pickle ball... haven't tried but they have classes and open hours.. Their rock climbing is amazing and the trampoline park is SUPER COOL! I don't usually jump at these places but because it wasn't crowded - my husband, daughter and I all jumped and only had to share the place with about three other people.. SO MUCH FUN... 8000 steps and I didn't jump the whole time.. fun way to exercise!!Love it! we came back to Silverlake for swimteam... this year we are doing Silverlake's team and next year clippers... WE LOVE their swimteam.. a gentle and fun way to get kids prepared for clippers. LOVE that they have this to help kids that aren't ready for clippers and there's a lot of perks! Kimmie and Sharon are WONDERFUL... my daughter takes private lessons from Sharon and I'm impressed. Our daughter works hard and pays attention to Sharon because she is respectful and demands it.. exactly what we want our child to be around!Every time we. One to Silverlake my daughter wants to do childcare.. it's amazing and I've run out of time but will do updates... Last note.. service is amazing.. from the teenagers at the trampoline park.. they pay attention and are fun! Member services.. I had a small hiccup and Camille was helpful and got me through it.. wonderful service. In the gym, I am a newbie (many-time returner) and Chris and everyone else I've interacted with in the gym has been very helpful and made me feel comfortable. Robbie is always friendly and a joy to interact with as well... so many good things... the lifeguards call my kiddo by name... instills confidence that they are paying attention....

We have been members of this facility for a while now. This is the most un-family friendly place for having the words "The Family Place" in their name. They are money hungry and the membership cost is absolutely not worth it. We went to the indoor pool at 930 am with our 2 year old and we're told we couldn't swim because children under 18 can't swim until 11. The pool was completely empty and the Silverlake employee was cold and didn't care as my two year old screamed "water slide" bawling his eyes out as we left. They just said have a good day. We attempted to cancel our membership because every time we go there it's always something, some rule, some policy in place making it inconvenient for anyone with a regular schedule to use their facilities. While I understand rules are necessary, certainly exceptions can and should be made for members that pay a huge cost to use their facility. Do yourself a favor and don't sign a contract with them. You can't get out of it even if the facility you pay to use isn't accessible to you during their business hours.

If you have kids and live in this area, you should really join. Even if you don't have kids, it's great. The updates are amazing. There is a restaurant area with a bar, climbing walls that adults do all the time, fitness classes that range from super challenging to mildly challenging and are really fun, Great And healthy smoothies. The locker rooms are nice and the outdoor pool is a great. This place is a unbelievable for families but I would join even if we didn't have children

We have enjoyed our time at Silverlake.Pros -great for kids -daycare for 2 hours with out having to sign up before hand -outdoor water park with toddler area -all equipment is working or fixed quickly -group fitness included -basketball court for extra space -huge indoor swimming pool for laps -indoor kids pool Cons-out dated equipment-no racquetball courts -expensive (130 for a family) -really small open floor area in the fitness center -no room for crossfit, HIIT style training The pros out way the cons for me that's why I decided to join with my husband and baby. We use the daycare sometimes twice a day and it's very helpful break for us.

I love Silverlake. My family goes there all the time. We use the pools and the exercise area and do group classes. I like this pool because you can take in food and drinks unlike other area clubs where you have to buy all the food and drinks for the kids there and it gets very expensive. They do have indoor and outdoor snack bars, but we generally buy very little there. They also have a great area for kids in both pools. The only down side is the locker rooms sometimes don't have enough lockers to accommodate everyone. They tend to be marginally clean. We really like it there and have been members for 2+ years.

If you would like to belong to an apolitical fitness center, don't choose Silverlake. Their lobby TV is constantly tuned to Fox News, which I can ignore, but recently someone has written in "Gulf of America" on a map hanging in the weight and machine room. I asked for the remark to be removed and I was given a flat out "No." I do not want to work out in a place that can't keep politics out of their environment. I will be taking my membership someplace else immediately. Some places in life should be controversy free and a fitness center is one of those places.

5th weekend in a row activities were not available. Customer service was not interested in discussing. Simply making short statement about inability to Staff. I explained this was 4th weekend in a row my family drove over 45 minutes to visit Silver Lake with same outcome. Response from customer service was that we should have came on Friday when staff was available. Completely understand staffing constraints in our new norm but this inability to manage, attract and train enough employees to operate during these challenging times is a direct reflection of the management team. Suggest prorating membership rates based on activity availability and retraining customer service to ensure customers are valued and not treated as a distraction or necessary evil. Employees running activities were very nice and helpful so focus should be management and customer service.
