Atmosphere is so nice. Sit on the porch and over look the vineyard and lake. Summertime they have live bands for your listening pleasure. I love the blackberry wine slushies!!! I've heard it's good toix the blackberry and peach together as well. I've been to baby showers, bridal showers and birthday party's hosted there at all times of the year! In the winter the porch is enclosed and heated.

Spent a delightful evening at Seven Wells Winery. We sat on their covered patio overlooking the vineyard and pond and enjoyed a bottle of their excellent white, Wish You Well, and the peach wine slush drink. It was the perfect beginning for the weekend.

Reading the reviews made me want to check this place out. Seven Wells Winery is part of the Back Roads Wine Trail in Northern Kentucky. This is my second winery/vineyard on my list. So I only have 4 more to go. :)This is definately out in the middle of nowhere! It's located outside Alexandria, Kentucky. Once you turn on Siry Road, you go up a hill and windy roads. When you arrive, you first see a small rustic building and your view is a beautiful five acre vineyard that is breathtaking!I went on a Saturday early afternoon. As I walked, a gentleman greeted me (friendly and helpful). There were customers enjoying their wine on the patio (which the landscape is very nice/well kept). I love how open and spacious the area is. I did the wine tasting for $5.00 which I can try any wines. They were sold out of the Chardonnay, Noiret, and Southern Gentleman. Which I didn't mind because they had a good selection of wines to choose from. This is what I tried:-Wish you Well- This is a dry blend of Vidal Blanc and Cayuga. Loved the refreshing taste!-Cabernet Franc- This was dry red wine which was served chilled. Which I found really good and one of my favorites. It's full bodied, dry with peppery flavors and oak. -Chambourcin- Semi-Sweet medium bodied, lightly oaked with hints of Black Cherry. -Vidal Blanc- Semi sweet and fruity tones of apply and citrus. This I also thought was a refreshing wine and loved the fruity taste, which was not so sweet.-Traminette- Semi Sweet with spicy aroma and characteristic of its Gewurtaiminor parent. -Chambourcin Blush- Sweet, light and fruity. This is made in the style of a white wine. -Racoon Red- A sweet blend of Chambourcin and Dornfelder. This is their best seller, but it was too sweet for me (I prefer dry red wines). I purchased a bottle of the Cabernet Franc for $15.00. After my tasting, I ordered a glass to enjoy out in the patio (Cabernet Franc). The owners were nice enough to turn the electric fence off so I can walk around and take pictures of the grapes/vineyard. This is a great place to relax! I did not want to leave. Seven Wells Winery also has upcoming special events (view online) or you can also sign up through email if you want to receive updates. I highly recommend coming here and worth the drive! I only liked the Cabernet Franc, because the rest of the wines were a bit sweet, but I had a great experience.

OH MY LORD! Who knew places like this existed so close to Cincinnati? Actually thanks to a group of Yelpers that had checked-in to this place on the NKY Backroads wine trail (http://www.kentuckywine.com/wineries-vineyards/wineries-list/backroads-kentucky-wine-trail/) I totally stole their idea and went on the trail one Sunday afternoon with my sister and her boyfriend and totally made a day of it. Our first stop was Seven Wells Winery, if we did it again, I would make this our last stop so we could spend more time here because I feel like this was the most beautiful one. When we arrived we pull up to this house and a tasting room, you walk in and are immediately greeted by the real star Greg. He is the owner of half of the winery that he bought from his father. We thought Greg had so much fun history to share with us and then in walks in the owner himself. He was SO charming. A good 'ol southern ky gentleman gave us the entire history of how the entire vineyard came to be and I will never forget this experience. With the view in the background of this beautiful vineyard and hearing this man talk about how he and his family hand pick the grapes themselves, and actually make the wine from start to finish themselves was surreal. I think I posted a picture of it for you to see just how beautiful this again wondering how the hell is this place even near to Cincinnati???Finally they let us do the tasting outside because it was such a beautiful day. He told us about each wine and how it was made. I love dry wine and they had the driest wine out of all the wineries on the wine trail. Of course they did have the normal KY sweet wine but I liked one of the wines so much we bought a bottle to take home. If you decide to do the Backroads Wine Trail DO NOT miss this one. It was my favorite!!!

The gentleman was very unpleasant. The wine during the tasting tasted like the refrigerator, it apparently had been their for a while. All of the wines had a vinegar taste

My friends and I love this place. We have completed the Nky wine trail twice now, and this is the best one on the trail! It is a family run winery and the staff is so knowledgeable and nice. They have multiple options from dry to sweet so any wine lover will be pleased.

If you are in this area (and even if you aren't), Seven Wells is worth the trip. When I spoke with the owner, he said that it was a very young winery. They have been producing wine only for a short time, but the flavor is already outstanding. I believe we tried every wine they had, and there wasn't any one of them that I would throw out.Seven Wells has events at their facility and you can rent the facility as well. Even though we got there a little later in the day, we felt no rush to leave and enjoyed chatting with the owner as well as enjoying the view.
