Scout's Cafe

From out of town, mother-in-law suggested Scout's. Not busy, plenty of parking. Inside very welcoming and cozy. Bought cute coffee cup earrings. Tried something different, white chocolate raspberry with extra foam. Wasn't too crazy with the raspberry flavor. Too tart. Will definitely get a different flavor next time. In fairness, can not give a review on coffee taste due to the raspberry flavor. But service was wonderful. Very friendly. Just wouldn't suggest raspberry flavor.

Good food, friendly faces, good service and nice atmosphere. Just wasn't my cup of coffee (sorry had to throw in that pun). But I'm sure others will like it! ENJOY!

They absolutely deserve every star! Butter beer latte was superb! The sign in the bathroom says, "Employees must stop crying before going back to work." The ONLY downside is that the toilet roll rolled down the back instead of over the top. EVERYONE knows that unless you have a cat problem (and they don't, I asked) toilet rolls are supposed to roll over the top in polite societies. But aside from that they are perfect.

Great coffee and efficient staff!! I would like to see the inside more cozy with space to talk privately.

Scout's has always had great coffee. I've had a good experience every time I have gone. They also have food trucks often.

The best coffee I've had in Springfield! I like their iced lattes and do not mind traveling a few extra miles to go and get it! Their building could be improved to have more sound absorbing techniques, because it's hard to be sitting there when there are a bunch of conversations around and you can't hear someone across from you at their table! I think it's great that they feature local art that you can buy at a reasonable price!!

I have been teaching for years in Springfield and there is no awesome coffee spot close to my building. Stopping at gas stations doesn't do it either. So I was really happy when I saw that this was going to open right around the corner from the school at which I teach. I was in on the Grand Opening day (Friday, Mar 3) and the place was hopping at 645 am. The service was quick and my peanut butter latte (nonfat) was served quickly and it was HOT. The expresso machine can be a tricky machine and shots can go wrong right away, it was great. The café was full, there were students dressed like they just woke up (who I would see later dressed better at school) in line behind me. Students were coming in to school with Scout's cups and drinks in hand. They all said the same thing, they were happy with the product and the price. I failed to mention the biscotti that I purchased. It was outsourced somewhere locally and it was really good too. They have paired well with a local baker. The dude in charge (I think he was the manager) was running bagels from the back while his staff was cranking out the drinks. It was great.I went back this morning (Mon) and it was quiet. I got the same service and got to talk to the dude (Tony). He is very proud of the café that he, his sister, and other partners have created. It was clear that he was excited about the business venture. They have some flavors at the bar that they must be experimenting with , they were not on the menu and will probably not be around long. I had a Toasted Marshmallow latte this morning and it was even better than the PB one. It was really good. Service was quick and friendly. Everyone seemed awake, not grumpy. Many times morning employees can be very unfriendly, but that was not the case here.It was a great experience. I am used to coffee house type experiences in Columbus, and the SHort North. Scout's has a great opportunity to be the neighborhood place. I hope the locals all stop in on their way to work. It was clean, it was inexpensive (cheaper than Columbus prices) and delicious. I can't be positive enough on how good this is. I wish something like this had been around for years, but hopefully it will be until I retire. Good luck to the owners. Scout's is my favorite coffee shop!!! All the baristas are friendly and always make our drinks just the way we like them. They have pastries baked by a local baker, to go with your coffee. They've been open almost a year, and are the best addition to the Northridge/North Springfield area!They also have different food trucks there several times a month.
