This was my first visit to San Jose Mexican restaurant, and I was pleasantly surprised. The remodeling was very nice. A clean and organized appearance was noted.The food selection was good, lots of traditional dishes and several house specials. I selected Arroz Con Pollo. The dish was delicious and arrived at my table quickly. Service was also attentive, making my first visit a memorable experience. I wi certainly be returning.

This was my first trip to the newly opened San Jose. There are lots of tables and booths. The restaurant is fresh and clean.My girl friends and I went for lunch on a Friday and were seated right away. We munched on our chips and salsa while waiting for our food. My beef chimichanga was nicely seasoned and came with rice and salad. My friends enjoyed their enchiladas. I must say that the food I had was not as bland as other Mexican restaurants in town, and the menu has lots of options.I did have a hard time finding the right drive to use. It is in a strip mall with no entrance from St Rd 44. So you enter from the back of the strip mall.

Love the decorations and scenery in this place. It is large but even though it was busy, it wasn't too loud. The guacamole was a little bland, but there are several hot sauces on the table to help that out. We ordered a variety of dishes from pork to shrimp to ground beef. The dinners were all very good. Our only disappointment was that the fajitas did not come out sizzling- they could have spent more time on a hot griddle. Even with that, I would return and recommend to others.
