I only order corned beef hash when it's real and not the canned stuff. There must be a pound of corned beef in this.
All you can eat crab legs on Saturday night
Goetta on steroids. About the size of a brownie. I've never had Goetta this thick anywhere. I used the jelly for perspective.

Was staying at the casino for a tournament. Decided to treat myself to some crab legs while there. The buffet itself is a little lacking on the selections. What saved it was the pot roast which was delicious. As for the crab legs, they were decent. Typical buffet size. Not very big, but big enough to satisfy after about 3-4 claws worth. The price was a little steep, but being a casino it wasnt too bad.I would say i got my moneys worth out of it.Also... request a table with a river view. Def worth it.

Extremely disappointing buffet, especially from the same company which owns the Silver Slipper in Mississippi. $54.95 as of February 2025 with no crab legs anymore and less than half of the buffet stations even open.I called to inquire about the buffet two days prior to visiting and was told it would be $34.95 but they didn't know the menu. Surprise! It's $54.95. This appears to have been a great place before COVID-19, but the post-pandemic version is really sad. Walked out without eating. Golden Corral has 5x+ the food at less than half the price. Worth a try if you get a comp, but otherwise a huge ripoff.

The choices were so limited for $39.99 a person. What they do have is underwhelming and unappetizing. The roast beef was so thin you could read thru it. Definitely not worth the price.

Should not even be a one star, but couldn't list lower than that!On March 2, 2024, my wife and I went to River View Buffet at Rising Star Casino, Rising Sun, Indiana , for my birthday. We arrived just before 8:00 am for the SATURDAY brunch, which they DID NOT HAVE! It was advertised on their web site, in the brochures that we received, and even at the service desk, the woman said that there was a buffet brunch on Saturdays and Sundays. Now I'm not a fan of FALSE advertising and this definitely falls in that category. It didn't ruin my birthday, but it sure did put a damper on our feelings towards Rising Star Casino. If you advertise something, we, the customers, expect it to be so! I called the service desk on 14 March and asked about the brunch and was told it was $18.99 for each person. We drove down on 16 March, for their BRUNCH (?). It is not worth it!! To me, a brunch would be some breakfast items, maybe some kind of lunch items, maybe fried chicken, ham, roast beef, etc. All they had for brunch was scrambled eggs (cold), bacon, cold, biscuits (cold)sausage gravy (lukewarm warm), a variety of fruits, some yogurt and pastries. The atmosphere was nice, and it was clean, but food, at best, was COLD. So don't waste your money or time on the River View Buffet, it definitely is not worth if

They really have a little of everything. It's not huge, but I would say its pretty comparable to the buffet at Belterra. I don't come here a whole lot, but it does seem like its pretty much the same. For example, I'll see Belterra have a period where it's a seafood special, with crab legs, etc. and I haven't seen that at Rising Star.I would probably give it 3 stars because there is nothing that really stands outs, but my husband loves the breakfast buffet... so I'm giving it 4 stars.

Staying at their RV park we decided to get something to eat here since it was close. Almost didn't come because it's not cheap, especially for a small buffet at a casino in the middle of nowhere! However we were hungry and didn't feel like going somewhere else. The buffet is basically southern food themed. We were very surprised, everything we tried was delicious.Stand outs to me were the pot roast and the fried chicken, but everything was good, the roast beef, the vegetables the bread pudding. Really didn't have a single thing I didn't like.Might try it again before we leave.

Very disappointed in the food quality. Everything looked dry. All of the meat was over battered and Dry from the heat lights. Not many choices and the choices we did have were not very good. Will not choose it again.

We visited on a Friday night around 6:30. The fact that it was not busy at this time should have been a clue. Price was $75 for two of us. This was the worst , and smallest buffet I've ever seen. They didn't even have half of it in use . The salad bar consists of just lettuce ,no other salads and very few items to add to the lettuce. There was spaghetti that was dried up, pizza that looked as if it'd been there all day. For vegetables there was a choice of broccoli, mixed vegetables and baked potatoe and only grilled chicken or roast and carrots or salmon for meat. Dessert was only cheesecake that also looked like it had been setting out for days . They should be ashamed to even call this a buffet, let alone charge that kind of price for it . Do not waste your time or money , I wouldn't go there again even if it was for free . Hard to believe this was the same buffet they had years ago . Do NOT recommend!!

I didn't think it was possible for the breakfast buffet to get any worse, but it did. They pulled the plug on the breakfast buffet altogether, instead replacing it with a breakfast buffet in a small adjoining dining room with donuts, canned juices, cereal, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and waffle maker. About the same thing you get when staying at a Super 8 or Motel 6.I'd rather pay for a decent breakfast than get extorted by a "resort fee" of $10 for this travesty. Try Jack's Place or Main Street Diner in Rising Sun for suitable alternatives.
