Rise Up Pizza

Went to Rise Up for Lexington Pizza Week. Had a slice of each of the two specials. Creative and tasty. Descriptions in photo. Good job, Matthew.18

Detroit style pizza is the best kind of pizza, if you disagree then you're tacky and I hate you. We tried the pepperoni za and it was fabulous. We added some spicy honey glaze which was *chefs kiss* and definitely had some heat to it. The menu was a bit small but I love pepperoni pizza with hot honey so it's fine with me.

Wow - this pizza was AMAZING! The fresh burrata, spicy sauce and pepperoni were an unexpected combination, but it was oh, so good! Super crispy crust and very, very fresh. Perfect addition to drinks at Old North! Can't wait to visit again.

The pie is great. This dude has some very solid recipes and his timing on the cook is just right for that crunchy bottom crust without scorching. If there is a special on the board, get it.

This pizza place apparently started as a food truck and has gone brick and mortar. And indeed, Greyline station is full of exposed brick, and the little sliver of space they've chosen to occupy has nothing more than a kitchen and a register. You eat outside, and they send you a text when it's ready.They do a sourdough crust in an oblong shape, with pretty limited choices. The veggie special they had when I stopped by, with peppers, mushrooms, and a dash of diced red onion was perfect for me. The mushrooms were quality, and the toppings in balance, and the cheese tasted like maybe some provolone was mixed in there. They offered me a taste of an experimental lemon mint eggplant pizza, which was overly salted and not as good. The base of the pizza is a just slightly sour dough with a bit of delicious charring. It's a pricey pizza with limited choices and quality ingredients. I haven't yet found a go-to Lexington pizza, but I was happy with this one.

Doesn't look like much when you past by, but Rise Up Pizza is definitely a great go-to spot for a sizeable lunch during the workweek. I took advantage of their lunch time special and had the two topping pizza with pepperoni and banana peppers. My coworkers were super jealous of my food and one of them even went to Rise Up after I had brought my meal back to my desk haha. The pizza was fabulous! I really enjoyed their thin crust and the banana peppers were sensational. I wasn't huge fan of the dough they used for their garlic knots, I prefer garlic knots that are more mushy and softer, but they were still pretty decent if you're looking for a healthier version for garlic knots. Lauren who worked the counter that day, was really nice and friendly, and made a first time experience very enjoyable. I definitely do want to check out more of their menu in the future!

The lunch special here is EPIC. Only $12 for a 2 topping pizza made to order! I love the vibes of this place, nice place to come when you are on a lunch break. Service is fast! I usually order and have my pizza in less than 10 minutes.

If you wanna pay $6 for a big fluffy piece of bread, this is yr place. They were open at the burl for a show and I'd hands down just go across the street to goodfellas for a proper piece of pie. Big bread w some tomato sauce. One bite and it went into the trash.

On our way heading home to Chicago, my husband and I stopped at a local bar in downtown Lexington and stumbled upon this amazing pizza joint attached to the bar. We ordered a Margherita pizza and it was delicious. Fresh ingredients and great flavor. We had a chance to talk with the owners and could tell they took great pride in their pizza. Will definitely look them up the next time we pass through Lexington.

Pizza was fab, honey habanero glaze worked for me despite being in spice training garlic knots were yummy too. Food comes out quick! Easy and delicious. It's nice to support a small business instead of a chain too.
