Rice Chinese Restaurant

I was visiting my Aunt and Cousin on E 5th a few blocks down the street from Rice. We were all starting to get hungry as dinner time came near. My aunt asked what we were hungry for. My cousin said that they hadn't had Chinese in a while. I hadn't either. They had a menu at the house I decided on my Go to dish Mongolian Beef and steamed rice with pork egg rolls. My aunt had lo mein and pork egg rolls my cousin had General Taos shrimp and Shrimp Eggrolls. My Mongolian Beef was OK, it was WAY too spicy. Not my favorite sauce on my beef. Our food arrived hot. Though it took a while for it to be delivered. And one entree was missing. My cousin said "now I remember why we haven't ordered from here for a while, they always mess up our order." My aunt liked her lo mein. My cousin said his entree was spicier than ever before. He said his eggrolls were good. There were plenty of soy sauce, and sweet and sour but no hot mustard. They provided plastic forks and fortune cookies for all 3 of us. I can't speak about the ambiance as we ordered delivery. I may try to make it back to Dayton in time to try a lunch and dine in, before I head back to San Diego. Perhaps then It would add a star or two.

Wonderful and delicious food, I loved their fresh smoothies, it was actually the most jaw dropping and refreshing drink I've ever had in my entire life. I have a gluten allergy and when I asked about the ingredients in certain meals they went out of their way to show me the food itself. Great service! Will be coming back for those delectable smoothies

3rd time order not right in 3 ordersTried to work out a way to make it right.After unsuccessful talking to the manager, I finally told them to come pick this crap up and refund my money. Been ordering with them for about 10 years it is lately it has gotten bad.Doubt I'll be ordering from them again.YOU NEED TO GET GET IT TOGETHER PEOPLE.Owner came out complaining that they don't have enough workers so that is why orders are wrong. Owner was yelling at me about having to refund the money. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. TOLD ME TO ORDER SOMEWHERE ELSE.Not a problem we will.WILL NOT ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN

Food quality was your typical Chinese restaurant here in Dayton. People claim it is better than others, and that's not true. It's the same as every other one around here. Nothing special at all. Now, let's talk about delivery. Yes, this is during COVID-19, but if you are going to have longer delivery times than normal, say so! Was told order would come in 50 minutes. Took an hour and a half. My girl is the one who ordered it, so I couldn't get pissed and call in, and she was too nice to do so. Furious with the fact that you can't give an appropriate timeframe.

Nice Divy Asian carry out in East Dayton Ohio. Inexpensive food that fits the bill. I ate in as there were a couple of tables in a room beside the counter. Only the finest foam plates and plastic wear will do hear. Dim lighting and grunge

The food was actually a lot better than most of the Chinese food I've had in Dayton, all except the crab Rangoon and that was gross, but I got it free with a coupon, so not too upset about that. I picked my order, and it was hot and fresh when I got it. I'm actually really impressed, even if their location is in a scary area that I won't go to after dark.

The prices are fair and the food is hot and good. the staff is very kind as well. love the fried rice.

This is the worst Chinese food I've ever had way to much sauce and has thing in the dish as fillers like broccoli onion carrots celery and green peppers. Not supposed to be there. The meat was tender and good but the dish isn't correct so not worth the money Szechwan beef never looks like this no red peppers just bland not spicy a shame

BEWARE! PLACE IS FILTHY DIRTY!!! They ARGUE WITH CUSTOMER when order is not made correctly and will not refund money under any circumstance nor make order over. Windows are greasy and haven't been washed recently; dust on containers behind window display-counter.

Food has really declined in taste and quality. We have ordered here for years. I understand the restaurant uses salad shrimp in the Lo Mein, but when it's not deveined it's a big turn off to the taste and quality of food. Add that to the way the recent delivery driver wanted to see actual credit card, id, and matching person at door before delivering food, and would not hand food until person was there, was a big turn off. FYI: "matching person" was in the restroom at time of delivery and the restaurant already processed payment at time of order, so the delivery driver provided extremely rude service for unknown reasons. Just bizarre. I'll go to Asia Gourmet for future eats. Why spend my hard earned money on unsavory shrimp and rude delivery service?
