This fro-yo place is great! It's a self-serve spot and price it determined by weight. They have a great selection of toppings and yogurt or sherbet flavors, and you can even make your own milkshake. The Chicago red line theme is also pretty cool.

If you want a healthier cold treat, come to the red line. They have great selections of flavors and toppings. The interior design reminds me of Chicago. I used to live by the red line and it was nice a reminder while eating a nice treat.

I love a good gimmicky food establishment. Red Line knows how to bring me in by offering a place that serves frozen yogurt and also had a giant subway car inside of it! And a train chugging along above your head. I have children, and if you have a train in your restaurant, you can pretty much guarantee I will visit you at some point.Red Line gets its name from the Chicago Transit Authority's busiest rail line in Chicago: the Red Line, which is part of the Chicago "L" system. From the minute you walk into this frozen yogurt shop, you'll feel like you've stepped into one of the rail cars along the Red Line. You'll see a subway train car that lines one whole wall, complete with lights, signs and simulated windows and doors. Photos of the Chicago skyline decorate the walls. Plus that miniature subway train chugs along on a train track that winds its way above your head. It's all very kitschy and cool.I came here not so much for the food but because of the novelty of being in a shop that has a subway car inside of it. I don't like frozen yogurt, but my children do, and they're also up for gimmicky things too, so we all had a good time.My children said their frozen yogurt was great. They especially liked all of the toppings that they could dispense themselves. Red Line has toppings like cereal (Fruity Pebbles, Cinnamon Toast Crunch and the like), candies (M&Ms, Nerds, Reeces Pieces), sprinkles, nuts, syrups, boba, fruits and lots more. When we visited, there were maybe less than a dozen different flavors of frozen yogurt to choose from. The shop was clean, which is important to me with these types of places. The one thing is that they are a little short staffed. There's a sign at the counter saying that if no one was behind the counter, then you should go next door (to Chicago's Pizza, which is their sister restaurant) to find someone to help you. Luckily, both restaurants are connected by a subway-like hallway, so it's not too bad.

This place is so cute inside, I love the authentic subway theme. I'm not a huge ice cream fan overall, but I usually get a craving a few times a year. I was trying to healthy(er) by grabbing a cup instead of a waffle cone but I quickly realized I made the wrong decision when I saw and smelled them making fresh waffle cones in a waffle maker. Definitely go for a waffle bowl or cone when you stopped in.I wanted ALL the toppings but limited myself to just a few and chose fruity pebbles, chocolate nonpareils, and fresh berries. The fruity pebbles and frozen yogurt combination is amazing. There's a variety of frozen yogurt, gelato, and Italian ice to choose from. I ended up choosing birthday cake flavored nonfat frozen yogurt. The staff were super friendly as well. Next time I get a craving, I'll definitely stop by. Since everything is completely customizable you can get something different each time.

This is a very nice frozen yogurt shop that has a subway train theme. They have rotational frozen yogurt flavors with a wide assortment of dry toppings such as sprinkles, M&Ms, Fruity Pebbles, and nuts. They also have fruit like strawberries, and raspberries. You can get a cup or a bowl, with or without a waffle cone. The possibilities are endless. You pay for your fro yo by weight, as you do in similar shops. In case you were wondering, I went with the Peach gelato with Nerds candy, some strawberries and raspberries. It was amazing. Very delightful. I must say myself. There is ample free parking at the strip mall that the shop is located and the shop has a nice patio out front where you can eat your frozen creation. There is also an indoor dining area which is very clean. They highlight of the shop, however, is the replica subway train. The train houses the fruit bar, cash register area and there are a few seats up front that you can actually seat and eat at.I really enjoyed this place. My little one is really into trains and he was thrilled to get some "train ice cream" too. I will definitely be back very soon.

I had the chance to stop by Red Line Frozen Treats while at nearby Franciscan Health for a wound care appointment. At Red Line, you can get fro-yo, sorbet, gelato, custard, and Italian ice. Red Line has a fun, urban decor paying homage to Chicago. Red Line is named after the Chicago Transit Authority's busiest rail line - The Red Line, a part of Chicago's "L" system. The Red Line has 33 stations and transports around 251,500 people each day. The Red Line includes such famous spots as Wrigley Field, Navy Pier, Soldier Field, Adler Planetarium, the Gold Coast, and others. Red Line Frozen Treats is a sister spot to Chicago's Pizza next door. Red Line has 21 self-serve, rotating frozen yogurt flavors with over 52 different toppings available. The frozen yogurt and ice cream at Red Line is exclusively from Russellville, Arkansas's Honey Hill Farms. The gourmet frozen treats are crafted using real dairy, fresh milk (no powders - which is surprisingly common!).The train theme is throughout Red Line - so this is a train lover's delight (kids or adults). This is such a perfect spot. Chicago's Pizza AND Red Line? That's absolutely sublime. Employees are friendly. The store itself is accessible with appropriate parking and curb cuts and a relatively easy to maneuver door. There aren't too many obstacles inside. It is self-serve, however, if you need help I'm guessing it's available. I was able to operate on my own just fine. There are some seats that technically don't qualify as accessible, though there's more than enough seating that is accessible. There are enough flavors that I can't imagine not finding at least 1-2 you'll love and I can see myself revisiting again. You think my doctor would notice if I kept re-injuring my leg to justify a trip back to Red Line?I'm kidding. Kind of. Seriously, this is a wonderful little gem on the southside of Indy close to Franciscan and not too far from Greenwood. Stop by. You'll love it. If your kid enjoys trains, you simply have to go!

Red Line, named after the subway train that runs from the north side of Chicago through downtown on down to the south side of the Windy City, is a train themed, self-serve frozen yogurt and treat shop. Throughout the inside, there are authentic train seats and doors from Chicago's subway system. There is a central dining room with the self-serve stations at the back and far right side. You start by deciding on a cup or cone then go to the wall of frozen items where you lift up the handle on the flavor you like to dispense it. Some stations allow you to use the middle handle to get a mixture of both flavors at that station. I went with an Orange Creamsicle and Vanilla Cream mix into a bowl. They then have a crunchies and sprinkles tower that you can spoon additional flavors onto your dessert. Finally, they have a bar of chopped fruit, nuts, and other goodies to finish off your masterpiece. And that's where you may wish you had some self restraint because pricing here is based upon the weight! I used some ground graham cracker on mine and because it didn't weigh much, got my dessert for well under $4. But if you load up on lots of candies and fruit and chocolate, you may go into sticker shock faster than you can say "brain freeze"! For those who have some modicum of control, this is a great place to get a cold treat. All others....beware! ha!Review #1929

I came across Red Line after discovering TCBY is not open on Monday (I know, my heart was totally broken). Any who! I was absolutely taken aback when I enter this establishment because of the great effort into detail they went through to create such an aesthetically pleasing place! They had not one but TWO different topping locations and a toppings tower that had different tiers of toppings. Y'all really it is a fantastic set up! The staff was super friendly and helpful. He gave me the background of how they decorated and why they put in the different fixtures they did. It was truly an all around great customer experience. Now on to the taste! I may be a fan of their cool building and super awesome staff but their froyo didn't make me smile. Y'all know I am a Classy Woman, I always choose the Chocolate and Vanilla swirl when tasting a new froyo or ice cream place. You know why? Because if you can't get the classic recipes down then how am I to believe that you've perfected Espresso, Birthday Cake, Tiramisu or Cheesecake!? Unheard of! Their swirl was vanilla heavy which was an absolute shame because chocolate tasted a lot better than vanilla. To their defense it was Tahitian Vanilla, which I don't believe I'm a fan of but they should offer regular vanilla if the Tahitian is going to be so harsh in taste. They do have a lot of other great looking flavors for those of you who are always daring to be different! If you have kids it's a great spot to take them for the decorations, froyo and topping choices. They also have a little subway sitting area and a toy train that moves to keep the kiddos entertained!
