Diamond in the rough!!This place shines when we were looking for a good meal and a quick beer. Wine & beer selection is outstanding. Wine store connected offers even more selection! Bravo

On our way out of town we were looking for a place to stop for lunch that allowed dogs. We found Ray's and were comfortably seated on the patio, which we basically had to ourselves! Their are a lot of beers and food on the menu. We decided on some beers and ordered sandwiches which automatically came with a salad instead of chips or fries. We were so excited about that! Not only do they have a restaurant but also a small store to purchase beer and wine. This location is worth a visit for food, a drink or beverages to go!

Food and service was great. Waitress recommended a great bottle of wine which added to a fun evening!

Let me tell you 'bout a place Somewhere uppa Dayton wayNamed for a special man called RayComing here will make your day!Once in a great while I come across an establishment and realize I've never experienced anything quite like it. Ray's is one of those places. It's got a dual personality- in a very good way. Walk in, turn left, and it's an amazing wine shop with all kinds of varieties in different price ranges, wine snacks and accessories, and a humidor stocked with quality cigars. And, a huge beer cave with a staggering variety of brews.But if you turn right, you're in a quietly elegant barroom with comfy seats at the bar, high tops, plus low dining tables. There are I believe a dozen beers on tap - might be 16- and a great wine list. But if you prefer, just pick your poison from the retail side and bring it over. Genius!If you're expecting bar food, think again. An amazing eclectic menu featuring three daily soups, seafood, steaks, pasta bolognese (major yum), seriously good sandwich options, unique appetizers (don't miss the smoked trout) and a selection of flatbreads with some crazy topping choices. And more.Everything we've had is delicious. It's a chef-driven menu serving up locally sourced and mostly organic foods, everything made fresh to order. Some of the best quality restaurant food I've ever had.I would consider dining at the bar to be the best experience. The low dining tables feel like they are right in the path of people coming and going from the bathroom and the kitchen. It's a little awkward in that section and too brightly lit, in my opinion. The high tops are very cozy, but it can be a little challenging to catch a waiter's or waitress' eye if you need something. I'm sticking with bar seating and hope to be back again soon.

Just way overpriced for what it is. The food was very bland and the meat and cheese plate was especially underwhelming. One would think a wine bar would pair with an appropriate plate, rather than Oscar Meyer lunch meat and processed cheddar cheese. Staff only became engaged around tip time- the rest of the time they focused on the regular drinking crew.

The atmosphere in Ray's is amazing. They have unique food that's amazing ( highly recommend the Barnyard sandwich) . The service is great, they are always willing to offer information about different drinks/food. They have a great selection of beer/wine. One of my all time favorite places! ( extra points from me because they have cider on tap!! )

Every single thing they create here is delicious. This is the Asian Salmon Club. I get this every other visit. Servers are all very cheerful and efficient. If I lived closer we would come every week

I don't usually write reviews but when I wake up the next morning and the experience is still on my mind, why not! It was my first time there, and I was with a party of 10. The server was pretty good despite the fact that she was the only person for the entire front area! I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and asked for cheddar and Muenster cheese but only got one of the two that I ordered. Two people that ordered didn't receive their order at all and the kitchen servers were not concerned at all! So let's just say that I won't be going back no time soon!!

Love the concept and the ambition of this place but we depended on the 4.3 star average and we very much regret stopping in. The execution across the board was poor. Service was bad and slow despite a slow crowd and the food was poor.

Just ate her for the first time tonight. Amazing food, amazing service. Loved that you could browse for a wine and have it opened for a small fee.
