Putz's Creamy Whip

What a great historical place to get some great ice cream. Putz's has a lot of history articles posted on their windows. Very interesting. I hear they have the best chili dog in town. We just went for ice-cream and it was excellent. Service with a smile at a great price.

Would I recommend Putz's-- ABSOLUTELY!First timer at Putz's, and happy I stopped by for some ice cream. I was in the area and asked some friends where they recommend to go for some ice cream, specifically soft serve. There are a couple other Cincy favorites, but they are all hard ice cream, and they unanimously agreed that I had to stop by Putz's Creamy Whip. I ate the waffle cone with chocolate and vanilla swirl, in record time, and forgot to take a pic. It was delicious.... In fact, the chocolate ice cream was actually noticeably "chocolaty." It was fantastic. It seems to be a family run business that has been there for years. The ladies that took my order and gave me my cone were all friendly and thanked me for stopping by. Lots of space to sit and enjoy food and dessert, and it's all walk up to the counter to order. **special note- CASH ONLY**. All I had with me was $5, so I couldn't try any food. I guess it gives me a reason to go back!

On our quest to try all the creamy whips in Cincinnati, we ventured to Putz's today. It doesn't look like much from the road, but it's a treasure! They've been operating since 1938 and five generations of the same family have been running it. The crowd was diverse and everyone was friendly while enjoying their treats at the picnic tables. My oldest had an ice man which is a sno cone with ice cream (with a face!) on top. My youngest got a small sundae with gummy worms and a color-changing spoon. I had a cookies n cream cyclone and my husband had a brownie sundae. We also shared three pretzels with cheese because my kids loved them so much. Everyone was happy!

I have been going here since I was a kid. This place will always be somewhere that makes me happy and fills me with cherished memories. They have great soft serve, and that's coming from someone who doesn't even like soft serve. There are seats outside to enjoy the day and your ice cream or you can take it to go. Their food is also good and there are many options to choose from.

Everything here is great, kids had strawberry and blueberry soft serve that was the best ever. Loved my chocolate malt and foot long coney, best in town

So good!! The banana split was delicious. So creamy and yummy. Great service too! 10/10 will definitely be back!

I had the swirl soft serve and gobbled it down. Coming from Columbus which has lots of ice cream places, I have struggled to find ice cream I enjoy in Cincinnati. It's Graeter's and UDF land down here. I found Putz's on Yelp and decided to try it. It was super flavorful and cheap! Sadly their season comes to an end soon but I will be back as it has been added to my top ice cream list in cincy.

When I was younger,we lived just a few blocks from this place, so we would go often. They showed nice kid movies and the ice cream is amazing

We visit Putz's several times each summer. The ice cream and service usually range from good to very good. However, we were surprised and disappointed in the total lack of good customer service today, a trait many small, family-run businesses seemingly share these days. What is especially perplexing is that they were not even busy, no line. We won't rush back for another experience like the one we had today.
