Came here to see Taking Back Sunday, the concert got moved inside the day of because of bad weather. Drinks are EXPENSIVE, I paid $10.50 for a regular sized can of Braxton Summertrip, a draft beer will cost you $13.50, and a tall can of Bud Light was $12. I don't think they have any kind of food here. There are two bars, one downstairs and one on the upper level. They offered a wide variety of beer, Vive seltzers, liquor, and some wine. Lots of different Braxton beer. Would have liked to see other seltzers besides Vive. Parking in the garage for a show will cost you $20, but there's plenty of other cheaper and/or free parking nearby. Everyone who attended the concert was required to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test within the past 72 hours along with your photo ID. Overall, cool place to see a concert; especially if you want a more intimate setting. However, prices for drinks are steep so definitely get that pregame in beforehand!

I came to see my favorite band, The 1975, on a Friday night and was so excited! We bought tickets in advance for the upper level, and the tickets seemed to indicate that there were individual seats on that level which was great because we didn't want to be in the standing room section--we're grown LOL Much to our surprise, when we get there it turns out we were only assigned a section and the seating was "first come, first served" bleachers. There was some specific, small sections for reserved seats which I wish I knew about (or maybe I missed it upon purchasing). The bleachers were so crowded and it really didn't seem that the staff had any grasp on controlling the crowd. There were so many people standing in the walk ways, and I know for a fact that some folks in this section weren't supposed to be--someone actually told me that. They really need younger or more enforcing staff manning this section as a lot was slipping through the cracks. Drinks were really pricey too, but I did like that there was a bar on each level. We had a great time after the seating snafu, but it took a while to get comfortable. If I come back, I'll definitely get the actual reserved seats.

What a great place to see a show in Newport! Most of the venue was standing room it which was great. We were up by the concessions and restrooms on concrete, just ahead was another lower area of standing and some seats. The upper area was grass and sloped to the stage. While the show felt full, there was plenty of personal space all around, not very much waiting for drinks. No lines for bathrooms and they were clean and well lighted. We easily found parking on a street and walked a few blocks. The view of the city at night was outstanding. Not sure if the talent or the venue is responsible here, but the video screens didn't have very good video, it was all shot from far, no close ups etc. There were just one stack of speakers aimed straight out to the front of the stage. It was not as loud as I would expect this band to be. All in all, it's a great venue to see a show in an intimate way, easy to get to and a great clean and safe experience. Can't wait to go back for another show.

This place is almost--almost--a carbon copy of the Columbus venue, except that it's better. Here's the edge:- Parking under the venue. It's a little annoying to get in and out, but the fact that you can 1) hang out in your car instead of waiting in a huge line to get in and then 2) take one of the stairwells at the back of the hill straight down to your parking spot is great. Worth $20 in my opinion. - Two entrances, which is one more than C-bus. - Two counters serving food. Unclear if Mikey's Late Night Slice is actually made on premises, but you can get it at the bars on either side of the stage. This prevents the Pizza Pile-Up that tends to happen in Columbus as people come in and head straight for the food just inside. - Many, many bars. In addition to the big two with pizza, I counted at least 3 more (one is in the VIP area). - A little more lax on the rules (maybe?). My review of the Columbus venue recounts the time I arrogantly thought my small crossbody purse would be allowed inside. At this venue, I saw plenty of women (and some men) with actual bags that size, not just the tiny clutches that are supposed to be allowed. Heck, I saw someone with an honest-to-goodness umbrella, which is definitely not allowed per the official rules on the website. I'm not saying you should purposely flaunt the rules here, and you still have to get your whole self through a metal detector, but you might have a tiny bit more wiggle room across the river here. - Finally, THE VIEW! Enjoy a lovely Queen City backdrop as you listen to your band of choice into the night.

I wanted to like this venue, seeing one of my favorite bands and a beautiful summer night. But it was so uncomfortable. You have a lawn, made of real, itchy, bug filled grass, and you won't let me bring a blanket to sit on? What damage is my little waterproof blanket going to cause? Relax a little, it's summer, let the people sit on a freakin blanket. Not sure if I'll be back...

Beautiful venue. If you get a chance to see a concert please do! I saw Bon Iver here and the beautiful summer solstice sunset with the Cincinnati skyline backdrop was unreal. Do read the venue rules before going- saw people in front of me have to step out of line for big bags. Great acoustics, decent bar with several queues to get drinks at. Just wish more artists would play there!

Venue is great but Erin that is helping to collect tickets upstairs is so rude and makes you feel uncomfortable before you can even pull your tickets out... just buy GA tickets because you will be told you didn't buy platinum by Erin.

Ovation won't tell you up front that you need to be vaccinated and have your vaccine card with you. They hide it in the agreement box that you check when you buy the tickets. Not really sure why you would try to hide important information. Just because you are vaccinated doesn't mean that you can't have covid and spread it to everyone there. All of the employee are extremely rude right off the bat when you're getting your tickets checked to go in. Definitely won't be attending anymore concerts at Ovation. If they would have made it known upfront that we needed to bring covid information we would have. Wasted time and money. Terrible!

This venue has amazing potential but the crowd management is awful, we spent over an hour in a line through a parking garage. The app for tickets AXS is horrible. Also, communication as to whether the concert is inside or outside would be helpful. The Rainbow Kitten Surprise concert was outside sounded great but using video would make the experience much better.
