They have a really good food menu and a really nice space to go out with friends or co-workers. We had the southern-style cornbread and the chicken wings both were amazing. All three of us at my table had the weigu burgers and I added the bacon on I wouldn't necessarily suggest the bacon because it was an extra $6 and it was really fatty. Well my other coworkers had beverages with alcohol I wanted espresso and they did a really good job with the espresso shots including giving me an extra shot or two at the end when I wanted to pick me up. Really amazing place from the atmosphere to the cleanliness to the food this is one of the top places I would suggest to go to if you're in town for convention or just want to go out with friends they also had a very nice Christmas decorations.

I went to Porch for a 2nd time for Brunch and I have to say my experience was just as bad as the first if not worse. When we sat down I noticed we had the same server as before and this is definitely the main issue as to why both our experiences were so bad. I have been in the industry for many years and always try to give grace but sometimes it's hard as I am human, but two similar expierenes cannot be 1 offs. I'd like to say it might have been because we had a lager group but there was only 4 of us the first time. It took forever to be greeted and to have our drink order taken. When she finally came over she actually only asked a few people at the table what they wanted and then walked away without asking the whole table. It also took forever for her to take our food order and when the food finally came out it was wrong. I completely understand things take longer when there is a larger group however there was no sense of urgency during the entire experience. Once we received the Bill I noticed some of the drinks were higher than priced on the menu. When I brought it to her attention she asked me to to go down the whole list and write the price from the menu for each item, which I did but she still didn't correct the check before running my card so I had to bring it to her attention again when a manager finally got involved and fixed it. I have had several people visit here for dinner and have been blown away by the food and service so I must be going at the wrong time of the day. There is no public parking, so you either need to park in the garage across the street or on the street at a meter. Both times I have been it really wasn't busy so you dont necessairly need a reservation for Brunch unless it's for a large group.

Porch Kitchen & Bar is a gem in the Marriott hotel. Started with the burnt ends appetizer, which were smoky, tender, and packed with flavor--a great start to the meal. For the entrée, I had the braised short ribs, and they were incredible--fall-apart tender with rich, savory gravy that paired perfectly with the cheesy grits. To top it all off, the bourbon butter cake for dessert was divine--moist, sweet, and with just the right hint of bourbon and pecans. The ambiance is warm and inviting, and the service was spot on. Evan was a great waiter. If you're in Louisville, Porch is definitely worth a visit.

It was my first time there and it was an alright experience. We barely saw our waiter and some of our food was cold. Also, our waiter didn't seem happy to be working today. We got the Wagyu Burger and the Baked Mac and cheese and it was delicious! The food portions were filling and the restrooms were really clean! Also, we paid $20 for a small skillet of Mac and cheese which was crazy!

This is a restaurant inside of the Marriott in downtown Lousville. My expectations were not set to high. Was I wrong. This has to be one of my favorite Marriott restaurants! The service was excellent, from the minute you walked in all the way through dinner. Thank you, Nicole. The ambiance was super cute. The food matched. Everything we tried was amazing. It's so amazing that we got full-on appetizers! So now I have come back and try the mains, but if that's how they start, I can only say the mains must be very good as well. We did save room for dessert, which was amazing as well. Great cocktails and nice priced Bourbon pours.

My husband and I got dressed up and went to brunch. The service was excellent. This is a personal preference but the bacon was way too thick and fatty for me. I really didn't get to enjoy my breakfast sandwich because I had to pick the meat apart. We wanted a cinnamon roll but they had run out! We will be back but just not for brunch.

I chose Porch because of the high reviews. I was expecting much more than what we experienced. The restaurant is located in a hotel. It's large with plenty of seating. Four of us sat in a booth near the kitchen so lots of staff going by our table. Meh. Our server was Casey. I commented on her sunny disposition and friendliness upon her greeting us. We ordered cocktails and the iron skillet cornbread. It took awhile for our cocktails to appear. The cornbread was delicious. We ordered two wedge salads split between each couple. I ordered the French onion soup and my husband ordered the mahi mahi fish & chips for dinner. Our friends had the ribeye and short ribs. Everything came to the table at the same time. We didn't get the salads first. What??! Then our salad had gorgonzola but my friends' wedge did not. Miss. We tried to communicate with the runner to stop placing all the dishes on the table but she didn't understand. Again a miss. Finally Casey appeared and agreed that shouldn't have happened and kept our entrees under a heat lamp until we were finished with our salads. Her disposition immediately changed for the rest of the time we were there. Interesting that her sunny disposition disappeared, like we were imposing on her because we voiced our dismay at everything coming at once. Then our heat lamp warmed food reappeared after we finished our salads. My husband's fish coating was soggy, no longer crispy as were the fries. I received a teaspoon to eat my soup and it wasn't working. My friend had to stick his head in the kitchen to ask for a soup spoon, but he was given a teaspoon - again. He had to explain the difference between the spoons. I finally got a soup spoon and could eat my soup. My soup tasted like right-out-of-the can Campbell's. Nothing special. The highlight of our meal was the amazing thick bacon on top of the wedge and the cornbread. Everything else of our dining experience was a fiasco. How is this place highly rated?

I saw an article about holiday pop up bars and Porch was on the list so we checked it out! It was actually the lobby bar with the holiday selection, not the Porch but it was no biggie! We approached the bar and it was VERY busy but that did not stop the bartenders from being incredibly efficient. I approached the completely full bar and was greeted + my order taken within maybe 20 seconds. All four cocktails were then prepared within a few minutes. We were all very impressed with how quick service was. We all got seasonal cocktails, Gingerbread Old Fashioned, Peppermint Espresso Martini and the Sugar Cookie Martini. Those might not be the exact names but thats the gist of what they were. Now let me say, we were in Louisville for the bourbon trail so we had been doing a lot of drinking throughout the weekend. We had a lot of seasonal cocktails and these (all of them!) were on the top of our list! They were all so wonderful! You know when you get a drink that has an amazing description and then when you taste it, it doesn't taste like the description? Well, this wasn't the case here! Our drinks tasted just like they were described! We loved our drinks so much we considered going back to this bar again later in the night! Take advantage of their seasonal menu while you can!
