I went there the other night and I could not believe the price for a pint of draft Bud Light,It was $4.50 for a pint. Really. WHAT a freaking RIP off. J tapps have a 22 ounce draft Bud light for 3 bucks. This place is a joke. Plus they have a kitchen, that is not being used. Lower your prices on draft, Poppy.

Great little West Side bar with plenty of parking, good down-to-earth people, and on the night I was there, karaoke!!! yee haw! The actual bar area stretches in a very large U shape and then is surrounded by various tables and high tops. Drinks are fine, and prices are reasonable. If you smoke or just need to step outside, there is a good sized outdoor area that will accommodate you and a good number of others. The most recent time I was here, the Karaoke DJ squeezed my friends and I in and we had a great time. I also somehow found myself binging on a random person's birthday cake. Great night.I'll be back.

Poppy's is not a bar I would frequent on a regular basis unless they had karaoke every night.It's another westside dive bar with a regular crowd. It's a pretty big space with a nice large bar area and a friendly bar staff. The drinks aren't too terribly strong but they're not bad either and at a reasonable price. I've heard that they have food but I've never been there in time to eat, this is a last stop of the night kind of bar.Karaoke night there is great, the DJ is awesome and will do his best to get every singer in that has signed up no matter how goofy or bad they may be. Karaoke is every Tuesday night and sometimes on Fridays. Granted Poppy's will not be a regular hangout for me but if I'm looking for karaoke any they have it rest assured that I will be there singing!

Went here recently for a birthday on a Friday evening. We chose to go here because they had karaoke that evening. The place was about about halfway full at 10pm on a Friday night. Most patrons were singing karaoke, but the line to sing was not long. The karaoke DJ did a good job of making sure all people hot to sing and no one hogged the mike. Music was primarily country and that is definitely the atmosphere of the bar- country/biker. The bartender was friendly and attentive and we got well-sloshed on their cheap and strong drinks. This is definitely a little bit of a locals-only dive bar and as a first-timer I didn't feel exactly welcomed by the other patrons, but on the other hand I didn't feel unwelcome. It is a keep to yourself and your friends kind of place- not someplace you are going to meet new people.There is plenty of parking. The bar and restrooms felt a little shabby, but perfectly clean. I am pretty sure they serve food, though we didn't get any. I would definitely go back, partly because I love karaoke and secondly because this is a 5 minute drive to my house.

If you want a local hangout with people you know... No better place. If you don't know anyone, that's ok! Friendly people here every night!

Great happy hour deals and great service! Def return trippin! Mark drank a lil too much but the waitress was sooo helpful in placing a food order for us!
