Woodman Lanes is my favorite bowling alley! I just finished a twelve week company bowling league, hosted by Woodman. We've received helpful and friendly service every week! The facility is clean and up to date. The pizza here is surprisingly good!! Additionally, I'd recommend the fried pickles and mozzarella sticks. I've also come to this bowling alley for their night time bowling sessions, lighted by neon lights, which was a great time! Definitely suggest stopping by this bowling alley!

Humble little bowling alley but great prices and fun atmosphere for glow in the dark bowling. I celebrated a birthday here and it was a good time. Glow in the dark bowling starts at 10. We went on a Friday and did not need to make a reservation ahead of time, there was plenty available. My only roadbump was that they were supposed to be open til 1 or 2 and closed early due to low staffing that night. Still had a good time and will be back!

February 4, 2017"My son, age 19, belongs to the Special Needs league that bowls at Woodman Lanes every Saturday. We've been involved with the league for about 8 years, best I can recall. Whether the league is bowling or not, Sam is bowling, either at Woodman Lanes or Poelking South. Every Saturday. And until now, we haven't had any major issues. The staff have always been welcoming and accommodating. Our son has many health issues including autism, mitochondrial disorder, creatine transporter deficiency syndrome, and Epilepsy. He requires a specialized diet, way beyond just gluten-free. We always make him a gluten-free/dairy-free/organic pizza to bring with him to bowling. We have checked with the front desk at both locations to be sure it isn't a problem. Until today, they told us that it was fine. My husband appreciates this courtesy and usually buys something from the concession stand (drinks, fries, etc) to say thank-you, even though it really isn't necessary.Today, my husband went to Woodman Lanes, as he has for most Saturday for the past 8 years, and saw the same man behind the desk he always sees. Today, that man decided to make the pizza an issue. He was rude when my husband explained that we've gotten approval to carry in Sam's pizza. The man behind the counter said "There are signs. We have gluten-free pizza.". As I've explained, Sam's dietary restrictions go beyond simply gluten-free. This embarrassed and upset my husband and he decided to leave. The man said "I told you I'd let it slide today and let you bowl.". My husband declined and left. Sam did not get to bowl today. We have no way to help Sam understand why he wasn't able to bowl today and it upset Sam a great deal. Now we aren't sure if we're going to continue bowling at Poelking after the way our special needs child was treated. I don't know how we're going to explain to him that the one thing he enjoys, the one thing he is good at, he won't be able to do, because he will never understand why he can't take his own pizza and he can't eat the bowling alley pizza. I will be sharing this incident with the special needs league and the special moms group, to which I belong. I am very disappointed in the way he was treated and I'm certain, they will be too.A very unfortunate situation indeed.Sincerely,Nancy Bernotaitis"This really saddens me especially since my son who is also special needs enjoys this place as well. After finding out this information from another fellow Autism Mom we won't be back.

honestly first off, some employee came up on us, and was very rude. The lanes are constantly breaking and they're moving you up and down the lanes. Would NOT reccomend.

Went here for my sons sixth year bday party...the people here were extremely nice and overly wanting to make it a good time for all. Talked through all the different price options for what kind of party and bowling we needed, obviously didn't just want to get money, wanted us to have a good time. Hooked us up w a free birthday room too! Definitely recommend for birthdays at ANY age! My six year old had a blast!

This is a really great place for late night bowling in Dayton. It's located not too far from The Greene. I came here recently on a Saturday night for their special discount. It's $14 cash only for unlimited games and shoes included. and it starts at 10pm and ends at 2 am. It gets really rowdy and stinky at 12 am when all the drunks, stoners and what not come. There was a really awkward couple all over each other to my left. The woman was wearing a white tank top and her skin was yellow and I couldn't stop laughing since she looked like a giant walking Twinkie. This made the weird creeps tolerable. There's a coffee shop next to the place where you get your shoes. The funnel fries are a solid greasy late night snack. The bathroom is clean and well kept.

On March 22, I scheduled a birthday party for my son at 4 PM upon arriving the two gentlemen at the front desk were very kind in humor with the kids. I generally appreciate it. It helped us as customers and individuals feel welcomed after paying our party host showed us to our room, she then began setting up for the room which I was surprised the room was already set up ., she then began setting up for the room which I was surprised the room was already set up. I got no information of how the party would go. as far as what to do when we are ready to bowl or do our laser tag Drinks, anything. Mind you I paid for 11 children for the mega party, which came up to almost $300. so once the kids all arrived and we're ready to go we're ready to bowl what do we do? The kids are giving them their shoes and nobody's telling us what lanes were on so after the kids have their shoes are questioning me so I go back up there to ask and we find out finally what lanes were on but nobody instructed us how to go about starting the games anything of that sort I just felt very left out in the wild to fend for myself in that situation . once we finally figured out how to begin the games, the kids started bowling when it came close to. I ordered pizzas for large pizzas an additional $70 on pizzas so now my total is almost $400 once I placed the order for the pizzas I let them know that we are there for the party. Could they please put them in the party room when they're done so I'm tending to 11 children and have an infant with myself. They instructed me at the food area because the food wasn't purchased with the party they could not mind you there was no mega party that included food, then proceeded to Go to my party host, which is a very kind, young lady, and tell her how disappointed I was and the fact they couldn't carry four pizza 50 steps to the party room. The young lady was very kind and told me she would take care of it and thankfully she did once we're done bowling. We got back in our room kids were waiting on the pizza to be delivered and they're playing with the punching balloons that were supplied by the bowling alley, and in the mist of them hunting their balloons this older gentleman who I found out was a manager there came into the doorway of the party address the kids "what's going on in here you sound like you're breaking down my wall oh my God " The kids all disturbed by this situation and completely confused look to me for answers. I myself was confused, not even knowing who this gentleman was, who came in there and disrupted the entire party, making a scene and embarrassing me in front of all these guest, then went up to the front desk to inquire about who this man was, and why he came in there, disrupting the party, disrespecting us, and being unprofessional, the man continued to get aggressive with me, and in my face yelling at me the gentleman I spoke with, was very calm and told me how he was a manager so I said I wanted to speak with this man Mike who is A manager, which I guess is the GM they refused to give me any information as far as contact information or his name. later, while in the party, the one gentleman from the company came into the party, apologizing about the older guy and told me the GM's name and that he would be there on Monday. We wrap the party up with the laser tag and frenzy, where half the guns didn't work for the kids in the laser Arena, so that was money wasted. Monday came and I called and spoke with the GM who thank me for not making a post online and told me he would address it and he would give me a call by Wednesday. It has been 10 days I have not heard from general manager in regards to anything and entirely upset and disappointed with this company as a whole, I spent $400 in organization for three, and in that span was disrespected and verbally assaulted by a worker. The quality of what I paid for was not there. The lack of unprofessionalism and respect was Very disheartening. I would not recommend this company to anyone especially with children . The facility was dirty.

We had our daughter's birthday party here last Sunday. The staff was so nice and friendly and gave excellent customer service. We had a group of about nine kids and the staff was super patient when we had to get all of the kids shoes and set up on the lanes. The food court was prompt, and the pizza was delicious. I should note that there was a snow storm the night before, and we were told that some employees did not come into work, because of the weather, which is completely understandable. Even though there was a slight staff shortage, we didn't notice because of the amazing customer service. We all had a great time, and I highly recommend this place for a birthday party.
