Oct 6,2024 .This is my second review of this restaurant. I visited last night along with 3 others. Every item excellent. Prepared quickly and presented properly. I had the smoked turkey sandwich. I included their stock photo because, unlike the fast food places, my food looked exactly like the photo! I will order this again next visit. Try their slaw for sure and though I'm not a big fan of grits the cheese grits are well worth ordering.Everyone ordered something different and our 2 guests ( their first visit here) absolutely loved the place. Restrooms were very clean and well stocked. Glass on entry doors were spotless ( dirty doors and window are a pet peeve of mine). Service was attentive and friendly. Servers and kitchen staff were all clean and dressed appropriately. This is my new best ' go to' place for casual dining. Best BBQ I've had in Cincinnati. Kudos to Paul for putting together a great place. Looking forward to visiting the new location in Loveland!

Good pulled pork and sausages, and the sauces are really great. I particularly like the Alabama white sauce and the Carolina mustard, but they're all good! Other folks in my group enjoyed the brisket quesadilla and a two-sausage special that was running that day. The mac and cheese was highly recommended to us a friend, but it wasn't my favorite. Noodles a bit too soggy and sauce was a little runny for my taste. Not bad, but I'd try a different side next time. Which I feel like is what I say about every Cincinnati BBQ joint. (So many good meats, but who has the sides game cornered??)Service was fast and friendly. We ordered as 4-5 different groups and all the food came out approximately at the same time, which was great. The location is cool as well, and would be a lot of fun to sit out on the deck in the summer. It is enclosed for the winter, and pretty cozy, which makes the restaurant bigger than it looks when you immediately walk in.

Pig Candy BBQ As part of Cincinnati's BBQ renaissance that kicked off with Eli's, Pig Candy BBQ earns its spot as as a unique and tasty bbq joint on the east side. Located on Kellogg Ave near Dead Low Brewing, Pig Candy confidently opened its doors mere miles from the aforementioned Eli's and a little bit further down from the old guard of Montgomery Inn. And that confidence paid off. Pig Candy comes up often when talking about tasty BBQ and rightly so. This was my first trip to Pig Candy and I wasn't disappointed. I tried their smash burger, topped with a generous mound of their signature pulled pork. It was delicious! The sides I tried, baked beans, mac n cheese, green beans, and chicken dip were all also excellent! Everything did have just a touch of heat, giving a satisfactory spicy edition to the entire affair. We're living in a true golden era of barbecue in Cincinnati. We may not be Kansas City or Carolina, but we've got a lot of great options and I can't recommend pig candy enough.

We visited for lunch on a Saturday and it was amazing! The gluten free BBQ waffles along with the gluten free banana pudding were such a welcome option for the member of our group that is gluten free. There were so many options! The brisket grilled cheese was comfort food at its best. The cheddar grits and green beans were well seasoned and the white chicken chili was great for the cold day. The service was excellent as well as the dining room ambiance. We can't wait to go back!

This is our favorite bbq place in Cincinnati. The service is always quick and friendly, the food is hot and fresh and they have rotating specials (today was the candied bacon that my son LOVED) that are always amazing. Today I had the bbq quesadilla with smoked turkey, my son had a side of mac and cheese with the candied bacon and my husband got the sampler platter with brisket, sausage, turkey and green beans. Everything was outstanding as usual and we were in and out in about 40 minutes!

Got back to visit Pig Candy for lunch after first trying them out in a Yelp event earlier in the year. What I loved at that event still is true - the service is super friendly, the food is delicious and the building delivers unique ambiance that makes for an overall great experience. I had the brisket sandwich and was pleasantly surprised by the overall flavor and tenderness of the brisket. The cheddar grits were delicious. The weakest spot was the Mac and cheese. A little runny. Maybe it was just an off batch. Everything else was delicious. A friend tried the brisket grilled cheese and raved about it. There are a couple really good BBQ spots around, and this is one of them. I don't think you can go wrong at Pig Candy!

We came here for a Yelp event months ago, and fianlly got back for a regular visit. I had the pickled peppers and onions, the pulled pork sandwich, and the mac and cheese. I devoured the sandwich, that white sauce it comes with is so good! The pickled peppers and onions were great, too. I won't order the mac again, it was runny and just bland. The servers were all super friendly. We'll be back for sure!

Right out of the chute......best brisket I've ever had!! I started out with the brisket sandwich. My son had the brisket with all the fixings. He raved about his, too. I usually just stop at one item, but was so tempted to try the pulled pork, so I went a bit overboard and got a pulled pork sandwich. No regrets there!! Prior to retiring a few years ago, I traveled around the area including Memphis, southern Kentucky, the Carolinas. Always looking for a BBQ place. I've had some really exceptional bbq. Well, this meets and exceeds any I've had elsewhere. My son also got the cheesy grits an and Mac n cheese. He was really impressed with the grits. The folks working there were all very friendly and we even chatted with the owner. There is also an enclosed porch with heaters that make a nice place to just sit and enjoy your meal. Definitely will be my go to place for bbq even though it's a bit of a drive. Highly recommend it!!

My favorite pulled pork sandwich and the potato bomb with brisket (available Thursdays) is my wife's favorite. The sauces are great. Service is very welcoming. Give it a try.
