Park Restaurant

Another trip to Park with my kiddos! Our server Destani and Tonya was phenomenal in service and attitude overall. The restaurant is family friendly as always and the staff makes you feel more like a friend than a patron. Breakfast, lunch or dinner they have it all. And if you are just looking for a cup of coffee and a piece of pie or cake they have that as well. If you're coming in from the highway remember when you get to McDonald's look to your left and it's right there come in and enjoy your own personal experience. He made you food at a really amazing price!

I was driving from Fishers IN to Hagerstown IN for an afternoon appointment, and I wanted to find a place for lunch along the way. The Park Restaurant in New Castle IN was open and had good reviews. When I pulled up at noon, the parking lot was full, and the restaurant was teaming with customers. A good sign, for sure. A big board in the entrance displayed a very large number daily specials. WOW. I was in a fried chicken mood, and decided to order the chicken leg meal, mashed potatoes/chicken gravy and onion rings. I'd read that the O-rings were good and they did not disappoint. A very large plate with just the right amount of batter. 5 stars. The chicken was just so so with a hint of burnt grease taste. 2 to 3 stars. The mashed potatoes were a bit dry. I kind of wondered if they might be instant. The chicken gravy was excellent. The roll was unheated and nothing special. Not worth eating. The restaurant itself was clean, organized, and very well run. The highlight is the staff. "Top Notch" 5 star. The servers seemed to know everyone and referred to some customers by their name. Park Restaurant is a great place for large groups of people and families. Plenty of seating/seating areas, lot's of meal options, and the food moved quickly and efficiently. I was surprised at how effective the kitchen/servers worked together given the large number of customers being served and all the available menu options. Not on the top of my list food wise, however, I may come back sometime for breakfast or maybe the barbeque ribs/brisket.

Vert clean with simple but good food. The service was a little slow at first because you seat yourself and have to wait until someone see's and then they come over. Once they bring a menu then it goes very smooth. Would recommend and would also go back. There is a large specials board when you first walk in but you can't see it until you sit down but then it's well written and easy to read. There is another board on the side wall with fries pies. Menu is two sided with plenty of options for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Food is great! Our waitress Tonya is amazing. We try to go there when we go to rural king.

We have eaten here several times in the past and it was always OK, but today Thursday September 5th,2024 was very disappointing. We drove over 25 miles just to have lunch here and sat for 15 minutes without even being acknowledged by anyone. Several waitresses passed right by our table and never would even make eye contact. I have to assume that they are under new management because we've never been ignored like this before. All of the employees seemed to be disgruntled about something and in a bad mood. We decided to just leave and go somewhere else for lunch. My wife who never complains about anything mentioned to the cashier on the way out why we were leaving and the cashier's attitude was like not interested at all. I hope that they get there problems straightened out as they are a landmark Newcastle restaurant with a good reputation. A serious management problem will be hard to overcome in today's restaurant market. I wish them well and will try them again in the distant future.

I've been visiting my Aunt that lives in New Castle regularly over the past 5-6 years. We have been to Park restaurant quite a few times now and I've decide it's actually very good. Especially since on my most recent visit we went for Dinner. I love a restaurant that has daily specials and Park has so many dinner daily specials! Plus the full menu including breakfast served anytime. The dinosaur no rooms are large, open and you can seat yourself anywhere you like. The food is home style cooked fresh. Everything I've tried has been good. I have favorites and least favorites, it's all good. Service is friendly and quick. They are always accommodating with meal modifications or substitutions.

Love this place! Always our go to when in the area. Everyone that works there is genuinely nice and efficient. This visit my husband and I had our order all picked out....a server walk by with a huge plate of onion rings and a big tenderloin sandwich. We both said let's get that and split it.We are picky about both and these definitely did not disappoint! We were pleasantly stuffed and could not finish it all even sharing. The onion rings were cooked perfectly with just the correct amount of batter. The tenderloin was tender and breaded just right.

The food is so good! Like your mom made it! Servers are nice and helpful. But I will say, if you are going to ask for all your extras one at a time, I would probably ask for what you want in one request. They all work hard and fast so you get hot food! I would definitely recommend!

In town for a cheer competition at the high school, we didn't have much time for lunch and found this place on Yelp. What a lucky find! A spacious eatery with great staff. The menu had a lot to choose from and everything was reasonably priced. They have breakfast available all day. I was particularly impressed with the biscuits & gravy with was made from scratch.There are daily specials written on the dry erase boards and they have both homemade and commercial made pies and desserts. We liked our entrees so much yet didn't have time for dessert that we came back for pie after the event and were so pleased that we did.What a gem of a place! Don't pass it up!

Good food and good service. Wil definitely visit again. Decent price and good menu selections.
