This is a convenience store with a bakery in it. It is located in the corner of a little strip mall and they have a ton of parking spots that they share with the other businesses in the strip mall. They have Mexican baked treats such as rolls, bread pudding, breads, cookies, and other delicious looking stuff that I do not know the name of. You just get a metal pizza tray and tongs, load up your tray with your pastries and take it to the counter for them to package up for you. The woman working the counter was very friendly and their prices are pretty reasonable. I got a couple of the tea cookies with sprinkles, a slice of the strawberry log, and a volcano cake thing with whipped cream and sprinkles. (They had me at sprinkles). They are not you traditional pastries and they are pretty good.On weekends they have more items like donuts and tamales. The place also has drinks, chips, and lottery tickets. I love trying different things and in the case it paid off. I got some pretty good fat pills to start my day.

This corner bake/cake shop is easy to miss in a strip mall on the northeast corner of Madison and Stop 11. The shop is small and when I entered, I didn't see anyone working, but I grabbed a serving tray and tongs to the right of the entrance and began shopping. They have a large number of breads, pastries, and cookies available, but none were labeled, so it required a bit of guessing on my part. At some point during my shopping, a woman quietly appeared at the cash register. My wife is a big fan of the large, crispy pastry that looks like the dough is rolled out then the lengths get folded a couple times to spread out across the bake sheet. Some places add a bit of sugar to make a glazed/sweet layer. This place had just a light coating. However, she still enjoyed the crisp crunch of the treat.I also picked up a horn stuffed with a vanilla filling, a long roll with a berry jelly filling, a large cookie (like a sugar cookie, but not much flavor), and a triangle filled with pineapple filling (I thought it was lemon when I bought it.) My favorite was the large triangle. The horn was more like bread than like pastry. The prices are low and I got all six items for less than a $6 ($0.89 to $1.25 each). It's nice to know I don't have to drive all the way to 38th Street on the west side to pickup Mexican pastry. I have a feeling my wife is going to want to visit here again.Note: This spot is adjacent to a Mexican grocery/restaurant so you can take care of getting all your Mexican food shopping/dining without moving your car.Review #2699

I was so excited to try this place. Prices were really cheap. Everything looks yummy. All 4 pastries and the cookie we bought tasted stale. It all went in the trash. Would not return.

When you walk in this bakery you're like omg it smells soo good. I just wanted to buy all that bread. You don't even know what to choose. It reminded me of the Mexican bakeries I used to go to back in LA. This time I only bought a cake. They a few cakes already made I bought the smallest one since it was only for a party of 2. It was tres leches with peaches inside and strawberries on top. It was very good not overly sweet or overly soaked with the milks. Some places over do it but this was just the right amount. I will definitely have go back and try their bread.

This is a local family-owned bakery on Indianapolis' south side that is worth a visit. It's located in the corner of a shopping strip behind Saraga Grocery and Taco Bell at the corner of Stop 11 and Madison. Conveniently, it is next to a tasty Taqueria/market as well. Panaderia = "bakery" in Spanish and this is a lovely Mexican bakery. They have your go-to items, such as pan dulce (sweet bread), tres leche cakes, and flan. They also have a nice assortment of breads, muffins, cakes, and pies. Plus, cream-filled and fruit-filled items. My flan was alright- I recently was in Miami having flan at the most famous Cuban restaurant in the states, so my taste buds are a bit spoiled. The cookies are dry but that's more of how I think most Mexican cookies are made - ergo, FYI for you. The raspberry cookies was good as well. If you speak Spanish, this place is super accommodating! There's a lot of Spanish, as well as phone cards. English speakers, have no fear! You can easily communicate in English as well. Tip: use the tongs and grab a tray when retrieving bakery items from the case. Place items on the tray. The cashier will bag items when you pay. Overall, come explore the Latin@ culture of the south side! It's very inexpensive for tasty treats, and all very authentic!

This place is my family's go to for mexican pastries, breads, and treats. Their churos are incredible (i love the original and caramel)! But our overall favorite is the pan con queso y jalapeño.
