Out Of The Ordinary Restaurant & Hickory Sports Bar

This is a good sports bar with plenty of bar bites - handhelds and burgers and mega salads and other interesting treats.I was boring and ordered the tenderloin. It was good but not one of those that's huge and covers the entire plate. It tasted very good and fresh. With French fries, a Coke and a tip, I was in and out for about $25.If I was ever in Nashville again, I'd stop back in and be more adventurous with what I order. I had good service, the vibe is cool, and the food was what I was hoping for.

They have decent service and a quaint holeIn the wall feel for the bar. It's a cozy spot with a lot of locals. We tried to fullNachos, pretty tasty. They had zombie dust on tap. I think it's called old hickory on the menu for the bar section.

Service was amazing and food did not disappoint! I had a tenderloin and it was delicious! Breaded lightly and fried to perfection! Best one I've had in ages! Cocktails were good too! Right across from the Nashville House so perfect for pre concert dinner, decor was classic Brown County with a warm and inviting vibe. Highly recommend!

In the late summer, there aren't a lot of places open in the early part of the week in Nashville. Our goal was to get something fresh to eat and an ice cold beer! We walked into Out of the Ordinary and decided to head to the back to the bar area. It was obvious from the environment that it was a place for locals! As we sat looking at the menu, a breaded Indiana tenderloin arrived at the table next to us. Not only did it look crisp and delicious, but the toppings were vibrant and fresh! We immediately knew that we had to try it. It was delicious!

This was a great spot to sit for a bit with a cold beer and enjoy their wifi while the barflies got their drink on. There are a number of restaurants in Nashville, this one seemed the most low key and inexpensive.Lots of food options - the burger looked good. First of all the name is a little confusing because the old hickory bar and grill is in the back of out of the ordinary sandwich shop. Our menus were actually labeled old hickory bar and grill so I'm still a little confused. Besides the odd fact of the name confusion, we decided to go for the tenderloin which they are know for and my wife thought it was delicious and the portion was pretty big. It was tender and not overcooked. I went for the onion rings and the Cuban sandwich. The sandwich was very delicious and loaded with meat. The service was attentive and the crowd was steady. Overall the experience was nothing extraordinary but the food was good.

This is a low key locals joint and hang out for wayward husbands to drown their sorrows while their wives drain their bank accounts. I kid I kid...but there is a sign that says Husband Day Care so... The beer is ice cold with frosted glasses. The service is good. The food is good. But this isn't nor should it be expected to be 5 star dining. It is reasonably priced and sufficient. With that being said, I brought out of state friends in for an obligatory Indiana Breaded Tenderloin Sandwich. IYKYK! This one did not disappoint! Probably one of the best I have ever had. It is an 8 oz cutlet, hand pounds and breaded fresh when ordered! No premade, pre prepared stuff here folks! The only complaint I have is the tiny packets of mustard. Everyone knows you need copious amounts of dill slices and yellow mustard to dress out a tenderloin! Had to open 7 tiny packets to get enough mustard. Should have squeeze bottles like the ketchup IMO. But don't let this stop you! House salad looked good too. My friend ordered one of those. Large and loaded! Seriously. Try the tenderloin.

Really great meal. My wife had the Cuban sandwich and I had the salmon. Very tasty and Clay, our server, was first rate!

I love a quirky restaurant - but obviously some is quirky good and some bad. Unfortunately this place falls in the quirky bad category. The ambiance is a bit strange and I thought it smelled funny. The menu is pretty obvious bar food. Honestly the food was awful, just not inspiring in the least. Our waitress was lovely, no complaints there.

This place falls between a 3 and a 4. Service was fine, food was typical bar food... and fine. Nice place to chill.
