The subs here are true east coast style. My favorite is the Italian. The cheese steak is also very good.Never a bad sub and always friendly service.I highly recommend anything on the menu. 5 stars

It was a couple of months ago but I stopped in to get a kids meal before I went home. The girl taking the order said that I couldn't order a kid's meal and I asked her "Why not?" She stated, "It is for kids." I know this already and said to her, "How do you know who this meal is for?" Then I ordered the kid's meal and she told me to stand away from where I was standing. She was very rude and I will never eat there again. She was also yelling back at the guys preparing the orders and yelled, "Where is my salad?" I told her that there were salads right beside her and she said to me again to move. She was definitely a rude person. I like your food but there are many places I can order kid's meals from.

Thanks in part to the current resident in the White House Our Hero's is more expensive than I care to pay. I remember a time prior bidenflation when you could get a sandwich here for a reasonable price. Perhaps thier current prices are the new reasonable. I had an 8 inch super cheesesteak. It was really good, plenty of meat and veggies. I would have preferred more cheese. I was impressed with my fries. They were cut in long slices, hot and salted just right , and a good portion of fries. Danielle and Brooklyn were both friendly. I liked that they had Coke Zero. I would have appreciated Cherry Zero. I would recommend Our Hero when you want to treat yourself to something better than McDonald's.

Food used to be great. Lately the service has been terrible. Food has been made incorrectly the past 3 visits and the manager has been very unprofessional. Going downhill fast.

Their quality has gone down pretty quickly. Their toaster oven isn't working more days than it does so their subs are like anywhere else when they're cold. They said to ask for double toast if you want it toasted like they use to. What? Fix the one you've got then. Help is usually outside smoking.

I will never return to this location. The food was okay, but the lady at the counter was very rude. We spent $30 on 2 subs and ate inside the restaurant. However, i only ate less than half of mine and husband did not touch his. We asked for boxes to take with us. She handed us paper bags and a piece of paper to wrap it in. We did that, but his was a full size 12 in sub that was bigger than the little bag, and our subs were really messy with the oil and vinegar. I went back and asked for one styrofoam box for his and she said no, they're only for take out. His sub is sticking out of the bag and soaking up the oil. I don't think it was too much to ask to just give us one box. And I won't even accuse her of being racist even though I didn't see her being this rude to anyone else. I even showed her that his sub was untouched. She just turned around and walked away to the back. I will continue to eat at the urbana location from now on as they are very nice there.

Stay away! The Main Street store is constantly getting orders wrong, then they want to argue with you about your order. The one time they agreed to "fix it next time", they LIED! When we called next time to order and asked for the replacement, the supposed manager said it had been over 2 months so they weren't replacing it.They had the messed up order on their credit book, but refused to replace it because it had been longer than 2 months. In addition, the manager was extremely rude in refusing to replace the sub THEY messed up! We were only going to the Main Street store maybe 1 out of every 3 times we chose Our Hero SPECIFICALLY due to bad service. We hadn't been in a while and decided to try again, considering this location is right around the corner from us. Big mistake! Do yourself a favor and choose a different location! The other locations are better, hands down!

I have been an Our Hero customer since their first location opened in Urbana in the 80's. I went to Wittenberg and went to the Plum St location at least once a week, for the 4yrs I went there. For the past few years, me and my family would travel from Columbus to go to the East Main location, but that has abruptly ended. I don't know who the female manager is at that location, but she is awful and needs terminated immediately. I have never been treated with as much indifference and disrespect in public, as I was by her. I know it probably doesn't mean much, I'm only one customer, but I won't go back until she's gone. I'm not going to go into details here, but I hope Harold catches wind of this because he and his family have worked too damn hard to establish a successful business, only to have one unhinged employee degrade their reputation. I've been a chef for 20yrs and I've worked with the public for 35yrs, so I have a little bit of experience and know a thing or two about how to handle situations. If anyone on here knows the owners, please make them aware of this post. I absolutely love the subs at Our Hero and I've always had great service there for over 30yrs, but this one situation was enough for me to put that on pause. I wish I knew her name, but whoever the female manager is at the East Main location is, she needs to be fired. And if there's more than one female manager there, it shouldn't be too difficult to figure out who this is because I have talked to some people and I hear she has a track record of poor customer service skills.
