Oliver's Chop House & Bourbon Bar

We decided to come here to celebrate my birthday since we were snow/iced in for the official day. This restaurant is inside of a casino but you wouldn't know it. The ambiance is checked all of the boxes for me dimmed lighting providing intimacy, great music, and the host was very mindful of not seating each party close to one another. Shout out to Jones,the host! Now the wait for the meal was a bit longer than expected for a party of (2). However, it was well worth the wait. One steak was medium well and the other medium well plus plus. They were spot on. I will say the usual side offered for a steak were offer as expected. Brandon was very attentive without smothering.For dessert we selected the Toffee Pumpkin Cheesecake...which I took to go. Hopefully is tastes as magnificent as it looks. This was a great experience. Exceptional customer service. I will be returning with my eyes set on trying the pork chops and maple bacon cheesecake. Thank you again Jones and Brandon for making this an exceptional experience.

Anniversary dinner!The burger is very good! The fries are very good! The rest of the food we ordered was good but wasn't amazing, especially considering the price. The atmosphere is nice, pretty decorations. We were slightly late to our reservation (by about 15 minutes) and they almost didn't seat us. Which is odd considering half the place was empty but maybe it was staffing related? We don't mind spending money on good food and a good experience, so we will give it another try at some point.

We came here for our anniversary and the food was good, but did not wow us. The service from Dev and staff was great. The atmosphere was relaxed and romantic. My husband had Kobe beef hamburger, and I opted for the weekly special which was a 6oz filet and shrimp scampi. For sides we tried the gouda mac and asparagus. The filet lacked flavor, and the shrimp were tough. The gouda mac was boring, and the asparagus had a strong lemon flavor. We won't be back here. Much better choices in Louisville for this price point!

Steakhouse located in the casino, upscale for sure. Food is very good, had a steak, salad and sides.. Try the corn as one of your sides. Pricey for sure but great meal

1st time there for my birthday. Menu had descriptions that I didn't understand being a common person. Ordered the Kobe beef hamburger medium rare and the French onion soup. The soup was the best I have had since the days of Peter Outlaws. The hamburger was outstanding with flavors not usually served. The accompanying french fries were better than Ollies's Trolley. The preliminary bread basket was definitely different and very tasty. It was a Wednesday night so not too crowded. Nice background music was playing. Carla was an excellent waitress. A lot of small touches were noticed that showed it was a 5 star restaurant. Will definitely return in the future.

The service we received from Carla was absolutely amazing. She is such a bright spot in your day. She loves to get to know her customers and has an impeccable memory. She knows I want a Riesling to start and a Malbec with my steak. She offers the crab cake because that's our favorite appetizer. We've followed Carla from a previous place of employment because she's that awesome! This was the first time trying Oliver's. There were definitely wins and a few small misses but I know they are easy fixes. The staff went out of the way to make sure the small things were corrected. I did order a lemon drop martini that came with what I thought was a sugar rum. Unfortunately it was a sugar/salt mixture but Jones made sure to come apologize and Carla had a new one made. The appetizers arrived quickly and were delicious. The meatballs were flavorful and those caramelized onions delightful. I could have went without the corn bread. I don't feel like it brought any significance to the dish. Oysters were good but throw some more horseradish on there for us spicy people. I liked that the carpaccio was refreshing but really would have loved more sauce(maybe some grainy mustard). Last that crab cake was perfect. The sauce was flavorful and the cake was ALL crab. The little pieces that were caramelized along the edges were my favorite bites. The bread came in between the apps and main entrees. The rolls were fabulous and had almost a pretzel type exterior but a warm, soft, and fluffy interior. I didn't care for the biscuits. They were dry. I couldn't decide on just one entree so I ordered two. The bone-in ribeye and the scallops. The ribeye was cooked to my preference and the seasoning was spot on. I ate the entire thing which I never do. The steak was topped with roasted garlic which made it even better. Now to the star of the show, the scallops. I wish the dish had 10 of them on there because I would have eaten every single one. They were seasoned and seared, then placed on a red pepper puree. They were topped with Parmesan cheese and the dish highlighted bacon and micro shiso peppers as well. I couldn't get enough. It was just that good. We ended the night sharing just one dessert because we were full. It was the White Chocolate Cashew Mousse. The mousse was light and not overbearing. The flavor was quite lovely and I would order again. Carla made the entire night fantastic and I can't wait to visit again.

Great service! We enjoyed a few drinks while visiting the casino. The bartenders were friendly and accommodating.

Great service, food was good. I had the sea bass and asparagus, and it was perfect. My friend had roasted chicken with fondant potatoes, seasonal vegetables, and natural Jus. We both had the High Steak Shirley to drink.

The wait staff were attentive and provided good service. The steak was... as it looks in the photo. Everything else was very tasty, even the beverages. We enjoyed the ambiance and were able to converse. We were surprised at the med steak.

I ordered alot from the menu but I only took photos of the highlights. The maple bourbon meatballs are awesome. Very moist and delicious. The overall service was a bit slow but I didn't mind this because I only came to eat food, so I wasn't in a rush to get anywhere. The decor was also breathtaking, great atmosphere for a date night or fancy dinner with friends.
