The first red flag was the parking lot was completely empty during the church lunch rush, and there is a church right next door. Upon opening the door, there is no hint of BBQ smell in the slightest. For the food, we did a pulled chicken and brisket slice sandwiches. The sides are limited so we both got greens and a side of corn pudding. The chicken tasted as if it was a mix of canned and boiled chicken. Zero flavor. The sauce on it had a slight spoiled taste. The brisket was ok, but same thing, no flavor. The greens were cooked decently except the step of adding any form of flavor was skipped. Tasted like you would expect. In the time we were there, no other people came in, no call in orders, and the food explains why. Would highly suggest steering clear of this "BBQ" place.

Unfortunately I've had to downgrade my review. I went in tonight to get burnt tips and potatoes. The restaurant didn't have the burnt tips. I had to get pulled pork. It was tasteless. The potatoes were also tasteless. In the past they have had a nice sweet/sour sauce. These potatoes didn't have that. They were just steamed potatoes. No flavor added. Seems like there is always a menu item missing and what's there is blah at best. For what it is worth, the employees at the restaurant are really nice and do a great job of loading customers up with food.

Can you give no stars? Awful. Old, dirty and the food tasted days old. We should have walked away but we thought with most of the reviews and a chain we would try it. We ended up throwing everything out and making something at home. We had ribs, chicken and brisket. We didn't even let my dog have it. It was that bad. Do yourself a favor and save your cash and find another place.

I really want to like this place. It's more convenient for us than City Barbecue but we've tried it several times now and we just can't get down. The pulled chicken is flavorless, the pulled pork is okay, a little dry but I kind of like it that way. My 10 year old, who eats EVERYTHING, even refused to finish her ribs saying they just didn't taste good. The sides were meh too - crusty mac n cheese, soupy greens, dry cornbread. At 7 PM it felt like we were getting the end of the night remnants, like it had been sitting on the line too long. I don't know, maybe they are just counting on Daytonians having a low bar for bbq.

I love BBQ! This place has charm and the gentlemen who served me today (Steve) was more than polite! I had a larger order for work mates, called it in-it was ready when I got there. Everything was correct, AND BONUS-Monday's are 20% off for Healthcare workers-which we are all Nurses, so this was awesome! I absolutely recommend the baby bakers-they are super good! I personally have never had a bad meal from any location!

This family owned restaurant is wonderful! Excellent BBQ at a good price. The staff is very friendly and the service is great. They know their BBQ and they care about their community. They even have RIB specials & kids specials that are an additional great savings! They also offer catering, as well as delivery through Door Dash! I highly recommend this place for the entire family! Locations in Kettering, Clayton, Downtown Dayton, & even WPAFB make it very easy to find & enjoy BBQ at all these locations. I hear they are re-opening a location in Miamisburg.

first time here and my son picked up/brought home, so i cannot speak to the cleanliness of the joint mentioned in other review. 4 rating is "Good" which is what it was, maybe a 3.5. All meat was tender and moist, especially the ribs. sauces were very good. sides we tried were just ok. Plus the order was correct, which has been a problem for us lately.

Good, quick, cheap. They were out of a lot but would definitely go back. Pulled pork was juicy.

I used to eat Oinkadoodlemoo's bbq at a stand on base and liked it.Went to the Kettering location and it was a let down. Tried the original "sweet" sauce and it was watery and rather flavorless. The brisket was ok and the portion decent, but it reminded me of cafeteria meat out of a bin, not something that had been in a smoker for hours. The pork was mushy and didn't have much flavor. Collards were also mushy. We both enjoyed the corn pudding and my companion liked the mac and cheese. And since when does a bbq place serve italian sausage as part of its offerings? Thought it was an unusual pick for a bbq place. My companion is a bbq fan from Austin, so he has opinions on the food.Probably won't be back.
