Oak Grove Tavern

Location is perfect for anyone in the area visiting Battelle Darby Metro Park. You can just about walk here from the park.During the day there is no table service. The inside is tiny with like ten tables. The bar is also small with only about eight stools. The menu is one page (Gordon would be proud), just the front for lunch and dinner. The back is the breakfast menu. They do have some craft beer but only in cans and bottles. They have a much bigger liquor selection. We started with beers, CBC IPA in a can for me, and a Stella bottle for my man. I ordered the fried mushroom basket for a starter. For my meal, I got the grilled chicken sandwich with fries. My man got his normal order, a cheeseburger. The mushrooms were good, even my man had a couple. My chicken sandwich was also very good, nice and juicy. So good I cleaned my plate, I usually cannot finish my meal and have to take half of it home. My man's cheeseburger was very good and yes, he ate the whole thing. Their outside seating is huge compared to the inside seating. They even have a stage for live music. Prices were great!! Especially with the horrible inflation right now. We will definitely be back.

How many people do you know that go to a dive bar for the food? This is the person and the place. Friday night is steak night. Get there early if you want to eat steak! I love the ribeye steak as it is so flavorful and juicy. My husband orders the strip steak. We both get the baked potatoes and it also comes with salad. The service is personal and quick. There is a huge area outside that can be used in warmer weather. People even book the space for parties and class reunions. Limited seating inside.

Fun Place !Great Food Too Loved the Wings !Love seeing LIVE MUSIC here ,Always a great time I like how this place is kind of put away from anything .... just a few minutes from Grove City or Galloway Hoping the have more events , bands etc . Good times here .

This little gem I would have normally flown by. We had a long day of traveling and came to this little spot. They seem to have a huge area off to the side for larger gatherings and parties. Anyway, came in for a drink, a strong drink and we lucked out and no one was there yet., It was about 6pm on a Tuesday night. Had a good cold Jack and Coke. One lady, one cook, one master of all. She was polite and a friendly bartender. Had the best burger ever!! I would go back just for the burger!! I 'll write more when I return. I will return for sure.

Stopped here for breakfast Saturday morning. Had eggs, sausage and potatoes. The sausage was local and the helping was large and tasty. The potato portion was also huge and excellent. We will be going back to try the burgers and also steak of Friday nights!

Better burger than thurmans!!!!! Don't even get me started on the fries!!!! Service is personal and nice! Like they knew you for years!

While Google mapping a route for the hubby & I to ride our motorcycles on the first nice spring evening in awhile, I discovered Oak Grove Tavern, so we decided to check it out. Oak Grove Tavern is tucked away along Alkire Rd right by a main entrance to Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park. I was delighted when I pulled into their parking lot & saw designated motorcycle parking spaces. The Tavern sits on a pretty decent stretch of land. They have picnic tables, a big pavilion/stage area outdoors, as well as your regular indoor seating and bar. It definitely has a local, hole in the wall, "everyone knows each other" vibe but everyone was very friendly to us newbies and made us feel welcome. Even the other customers greeted us when arrived and wished us a safe, fun ride when we left.The food isn't fancy, your normal bar grub, but it was tasty. They make a mean basket of fries! And their food and drink were cheap too.The bartenders were saying that Friday is their best night-steak night and Sundays are fun too-bike night. I look forward to coming back and checking out both.

This is a dive, but not in a good way. It's dirty. Like dead flies in places that should be cleaned periodically dirty. Food is kinda nasty. frozen burgers defrosted in the microwave, out of date wing sauce. Just a general icky dump.

I love this place! The people are super friendly and nice. And the food is actually pretty damn good. I'm becoming a bit of a regular. Definitely recommend for a low key hang out spot. Karaoke on the weekends. Rib night on Monday's. Walking taco Thursday's. Steak night Fridays. Seriously check it out!
