Norma Jean has a great little gig going out here in Borden. This place was bustling when I was here on a summer weekday about a month ago. Sitting outside on a nice summer day eating some good 'Murcia-style food, the only sign of Covid was the masks of the employees and sanitizing of tables. So refreshing.Norma Jean's is a walk-up small town dairy freeze that also boasts a drive-thru. Both were busy when I was there. This place is popular. They have covered tables in the front, as well as a nice little respite behind the building in the shade by the creek. I ordered a couple of mini cheeseburgers and tater tots and ate up front. My food came out pretty quick. The burgers were hand patted and tasty. The tater tots were hot, golden fried, and an ample portion. My meal was satisfying and exactly what I was looking for on this day. After I finished, I ordered some hand dipped ice cream and headed for the shade and creek to enjoy it. The coconut almond bliss hand dipped was delicious. I don't know what I enjoyed more, the ice cream or relaxing by the sounds of the creek. The food was really good. The prices competitive. The staff was friendly and efficient. The owner was amiable and engaging. They practiced all the current safety guidelines, and I watched them sanitize the tables after each customer left. So, there should be no worries for the worried. I see no negatives here at all. If I lived close by, I'd wear this little dairy bar out for certain.

People need to update their off season hours. Drove out of our way bc yelp hours said it was open. Had a sign that said closed for season on Sept 30th. We are from out of state, so bad no clue.

Favorite spot to eat is back by the creek, lots of flavors, lots of delicious calories to enjoy. Hand dipped flavors, excellent banana split and just all around summer happiness.Sits on side of the road, stop and go out back to the chairs and picnic tables to just relax, grab a burger, onion rings and icecream!!!!

Located off US 60 in Borden Indiana is the best little ice cream shop ever!Norma Jeans will satisfy you craving for something cold guaranteed! An aura of happiness abounds the moment you pull in to the well paved parking area. Walk up to the window read the menu place your order. They'll yell for you when it's ready. It's just that laid back. I decided to be bad, really bad. I chose the foot long coney dog smothered in chili topped with cheese and onions with a side of fried and a sodaSic, huh. As I dined I watched cone after cone of beautiful Wisconsin ice cream pass through the windows. The small cone was not small the medium was over the top so I cannot imagine what a large looked like. Shakes were very popular too. If you go behind the building they have a great set up with Adirondack chairs and tables overlooking the little creek that slowly creeps by. It was a great stop great atmosphere and great food. I would like to mention I had to take a Pepcid! Good hot dogs linger.

This place is a must stop in the summer. They have the best chocolate malt. Most ice cream shops don't use enough malt and they just taste like a regular shake. But, not this place. Get the chocolate malt. You won't be disappointed.

Love Norma Jeans. Go often. Recommend to everyone. The plus is it's local. You won't regret it. Service is great and workers are friendly.
