Under new ownership! A cute little shop that's easy to bypass if you're not looking for it as you enter Piqua, it has all the essentials needed to cook authentic Japanese food, along with fun popular snacks and a few household items. Worth the drive from Dayton. Employees were friendly and spoke Japanese.

I've enjoyed coming to the store for their various selection several times before, but was disheartened to be turned away because we didn't have a mask on after driving 30min just to get to Nippon. Maybe they should add that to their google page; I would have never bothered coming. It's their business to do whatever I guess. Yes I'm upset; No, I will not recommend to my friends because of the mandatory masking. We'll go to the Cincinnati Asian Market instead.

We love this store. The owners are always friendly and answer questions about anything related to Japanese cooking or culture. They have so many items that you just won't find in the Japanese/asian section of Kroger or Meijer. If they don't have what you're looking for, they usually can get it. Check them out!

I adore Japanese food, but most Asian grocery stores that I find are mostly Korean food. This tiny store has a huge selection of authentic Japanese food plus much more. Fresh and organic produce, farm-fresh eggs, paper-thin sliced fresh meats. Everything you need to prepare delicious and healthy Japanese meals. Also snacks, drinks and Japanese beer and sake. Have you tried sparkling sake? Delicious!

My wife and I love this place. We lived in Japan for over 8 years and miss a lot of the items we used to get. This store is small but, loaded with products such as dry goods, freezer goods, varieties of rice and fresh produce. The staff/owners are super friendly and extremely helpful. It's like having an oasis in the middle of the desert.

This is my main place to grocery shop now. They sell real food that isn't processed. They have great service and are very friendly. I suggest you go here.

Great place! Those hard-to-find Japanese food items are not so hard to find anymore. They have a great selection of rice wine, dashi, kombu kelp, bonito, nori, and much more. Sometimes they have green tea ice cream, which is a true delicacy. And don't forget the soy sauce in the economical one gallon container!
