NEW Ales Brewing

This newer location is huge and so close to all the Central Ave food and entertainment venues. It's connected to a pizza place. The decor is a lot of wood, plants and light blues. It's very relaxing and comfortable. The staff are funny and knowledgeable. The beer names are often hilarious. Next time I'll get pizza too. Come get some of Middletown's finest beer!!

Love this place! Such a great selection of beers. Steel city pizza is next door with the most amazing crust for their pizzas. Come check this place out!!! I love small local businesses and everyone should show some support!

Different location now but the beers are still pretty good. Plenty of parking on site. Pet friendly. Steel City pizza is nearby.

New great location, large tvs, and pizza next door - what more do you need? The OMG Becky Look at That Pumpkin beer alone is worth the trip. The Business Casual Dark Lager is pretty awesome too.

The brewery just recently got themselves listed on Dayton's Ale Trail passport, and almost everyone I saw there had passport in-hand. I'm not quite sure they were ready for this much influx of customers at once as they seem extremely new to this summer rush. Staff is super-super-duper friendly. When we came, we parked in a nearby parking lot - which apparently is not theirs and customers were mistakenly parking in it. But a staff member was out there redirecting people so they didn't get towed, so that was really nice of them. (There IS a very small parking lot out back, but the "big" parking lot you see behind their building, which you'd assume was theirs, is actually a nearby church's. Make sure to look for the churches very small signs.) Inside is small - but clean. It looks like it was built into an old residential house. The outside still looks like a home - but the inside looks much-more-like a restaurant/brewery. Honestly, when you drive by, you're going to say "THIS is the brewery?!?" because it's located right in the middle of residential homes.It looks like they moved some non-supporting walls to open things up inside (so no narrow hallways or anything), but the seating is limited purely due to the limited size of the brewery's home at this point. To help with that, they have a HUGE outdoor area. Some of the outdoor area is shaded. They have plastic-cup options to take your drinks outdoors - or stay indoors. They'll do to-go beer, but they don't have cans. You'll need to bring your growler. (They sell glass ones too.)It said it was a woman-owned business on the door. LGBT-friendly (pride flags, etc.)

Super high quality, well-thought out offerings. Weirdly (in a good way) precise with flavors. I tried 2 sours and they blew up on my pallet.The operation is a bit odd currently (in the front part of an old apartment building), but that's supposed to be changing soon. Food will be coming along at the new location.

Good variety of beer styles, great friendly staff. Small space. Local restaurants available to eat with the beers. LOVE the music selection.

How fun is this place? Super friendly staff and other patrons, and really good beer to boot. Overheard them telling someone that they are moving to a new location soon, but still in Middletown. Middletown is lucky to have them, this small brewery is awesome.

This is one of my favorite breweries and that is saying a lot! The beer is excellent, the staff is wonderful, and the pizza is equally great. The atmosphere is comfortable AND they are dog friendly!

Attention craft beer drinkers! You have to try this place. Such a great addition to our city. The beer is amazing and a great variety. The owners have done wonderful job with the new location and along with Steel City pizza, it's the perfect stop. Love the staff!Prost!
