I ordered their carrot cake from Grubhub. It was the most delicious carrot cake I've had in the US! The cake looks a little smushed in the photo but it was 10/10!!!I also had the tostones. Crispy and salty wasn't salty. It tasted similar to banana chips but not sweet. Sweet banana was on the right. It tasted similar to the fried caramelized saba (banana from Philippines) , bananaque.I preferred the crispy banana, as the sweet banana was a little too ripe for my liking.

The entrance is in the back, and there's plenty of parking. Inside is quaint. There's a small bar in one corner, and the dining area is split in half by a pass through wall. White table clothes give it a fancy feel. They are known for the rotisserie chicken. We got rellenos for an appetizer. These are fried mashed potatoe balls filled with protein -- we tried one beef and one chicken. Served with a side of 'golf sauce' -- think a mix of ketchup and mayonnaise with some worcestershire and spices. The rellenos and particularly the sauce were delicious! On to entrees. We got the salpincho sandwich and a chicken burger. Both come topped with a fried egg, which we were a little skeptical about. The silpancho beef tasted kind of similar to lamb gyro meat. The fries were crispy and I got an extra side of golf sauce to dip them in. Overall, we enjoyed the meal and had some left overs to take home. For dessert, we tried a slice of carrot cake, but it was a bit dry.

We decided to stop in yesterday evening and it's been about a year or so since we've eaten here. Our server was wonderful albeit very slow at first and the empanadas as well as the quinoa soup were resplendent. Both flavorful and wonderfully seasoned. For my main dish I decided to try something different and went with the Silpancho. This was a terrible choice. The beef cutlet turned out to be almost as tough as leather and the "breading" or flour was so think that it turned into an almost glue like substance. The meat had absolutely no seasoning. Not a trace of salt, pepper or even garlic. The rice is equally as bland. Then you factor in the french fries which are also unseasoned and have soaked up any steam from the piece of "beef" and it's an atrocious meal for $22.00. Let me mention this is topped with an overcooked egg and the entitled plate in then covered with an extremely bland pico de gallo that had no cilantro or trace of any type of peppers in it. Judging from the majority of the clientele it would appear they are serving a mostly venerable group which might explain the very bland food. I would not and do not recommend this place.

We hunt for places that are exceptional and this one is! It earns a 5 star for ambiance, for service and for the excellent cusine! I'll try to capture it for you. When you walk in the aroma of tells you you're about to experience something special.Charcoal rotisserie chicken: it's the best restaurant chicken I've ever had. Juicy, lightly smoked and great spices. Delicious!Pique Macho: thin sirloin steak, sausage, thick fries, peppers. We enjoyed this with the chorrellana sauce (sautéed onions, mustard, vinegar - incredible flavor)Planchita: a sizzling plate of rib eye, sausage, egg, yuca (like potato with flavor) and chorrellana sauce. Again, wonderful flavors!Plantains, rice and black beans accompanied our meals. As Arnold said, 'I'll be back!'

On a recent trip to Ohio, I had a craving for something different. A Taste of Bolivia fit the bill. We actually drove around a bit before we found a place to park because the location was a bit tricky. Be sure you turn into the parking lot right by the restaurant. Now, onto the goodness. I felt like eating a bit light that evening. Decided to try the Rellano when the waiter told me they used the herb roasted chicken that was the flavor I chose. I added a beef empanada, and for a green, I added the house salad. Everything was tasty! I would love to go back on my next visit and try something really different since I played it safe this time.

Rotisserie ChickenPerhaps BEST Rotisserie Chicken in Greater Dayton Metropolitan Area. Definite Upgrade from grocery store fare.Nellie's asks for a one-hour pre-order, and this is reasonable. From past experiences, we know that service is often slow, and our planning ahead leads to our take away option. Slow service will not be a factor in enjoying this excellent chicken at home. The tariff is appropriate for the fare.

I had never tried Bolivian food until Nelly's. I didn't know what to expect, except for the fact that would be delicious. My dad had told us about Nelly's famous chicken and rice, making us super excited to come and try it for ourselves. When we went inside, we were immediately greeted by the warm smells of South America. The restaurant itself was really sleek: white walls with art work and simple black tables. We were told we could wait at the bar until they had prepared our table. Unfortunately, it was about a 30 minute wait until we were actually seated, which was disappointing considering we had made a reservation. However, a long wait didn't change our excitement to try the food. If anything, it made us even more eager for a taste of Bolivia. When we arrived at our table, we were given long menus with the same sleek design as the restaurant. I wanted to try everything! A few minutes later, we were asked what we wanted to drink. I told our waitress water, per my usual. She brought out our drinks in no time and gave them to us. She was kind about refilling and came over every so often during our stay to pour more water into our glass. I think I ended up drinking about 3 full glasses in total. After drinks were done, she took our food order. I ordered a chicken empanada with a side salad and rice. My family and I also ordered the appetizer platter to share, which was brought out first. I thought it was really good! The yuca was my favorite, followed by the savory plantain. I personally don't like sweet things, so I didn't like the sweet plantain as much as the others. After we had cleared the plate, the rest of our food was brought out. I started with the side salad. It was okay. I wasn't a fan of the beets on top and the dressing was a little chunky and separated so it wasn't my favorite. The rice was heavenly and had a great flavor. It was very potent and warm. After devouring my rice, I ate the empanada. Oh. My. Gosh. So good! The sweet shell melts in your mouth and the chicken inside is cooked to perfection! I think this was my absolute favorite item I tried on the menu! Overall, delicious food, appetizers, and sides. I will definitely be back with my family in the future! Thank you, Nelly's!Follow for more reviews!

I had the Pique Macho. It had the potential of being a very tasty dish. However, the boiled steak bites and raw vegetables were disappointing. Presenting it as a sizzling charcoaled meal would have been more tasty and authentic. The white sauce which is a bit taster than water only made the American steak fries soggy.

Food is really good but service was slow and beyond horrible! Plan to sit for a very long time before even getting water. Waitress spoke very poor English and didn't understand us. Need to improve wine selection.
