Natural Life is an average vitamin store, and it's not a chain. It has lots of nutritional supplements and health food. The prices are higher on many items, some are not so bad. It's an independent shop, better than GNC. The staff is also more helpful. It seem like the classic musty health food store inside. It has two areas, with most of the food in one and most of the vitamins in the other. The prices are average to higher than average, depending on brand and product. A lot of the lesser known brands are cheaper. I found a good size pea protein powder for about $30, which is about the same or cheaper than many other places. Another thing making this place better is the service is better. The staff at GNC often have no clue, but here you can ask questions and learn something. I recommend this over the chains. It has comparable prices and better informed employees. This is located next to the Green Papaya restaurant.

I wish I'd read the warnings here about the owner and staff before I wasted my time. I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon, excited to see a natural store near me. The store is mostly run-of-the-mill vitamins, most of which are the same brand but marked up 10 to 20 percent compared to the bigger store one block away. I wandered the small store for 5 minutes or so without a single acknowledgment. I did find two boxes of tea I wanted. I stood at the cash register for at least 3 full minutes while the unhappy cashier (the owner, I think) talked to a customer about what free samples she wanted. Even when the customer walked away to look at something, the cashier avoided eye contact with me. I was right in front of her and clearly waiting to pay, but she acted like I wasn't even there. I've rarely been in stores where my patronage feels that unwanted. I set my things down at the counter and walked out. I found the same brand of tea one block away for 20 percent cheaper. I happily paid a cashier who was sincerely glad to see me.

I stopped by Natural Life to stock up on my vitamin supply, which was a nice change from staring at the aisles of uncategorized supplements at the grocery store. I was greeted by the clerk who helped me find exactly what I was looking for. One container I found double the quantity for the same price I had previously paid online:$30.00 for 60 - 800mg capsules at Natural Life VS. $30.00 for 60 - 400mg capsules from the internet. Needing to take 800mg a day, I'd be paying almost double elsewhere for my vitamins! As I browsed the shop, I noticed a table labeled "As Seen on Dr. Oz." If you watch the show, Dr. Oz recommends different daily supplements, mainly for weight loss or fatigue. The owners of this store regularly watch his broadcasts and organize his recommendations together in one spot. I had to ask the clerk, "Do any of Dr. Oz's vitamins work?" Apparently, some do. She said the Green Coffee Bean Extract is the most popular for weight loss,as well as the 7- Keto, and saffron extract. The store has been getting repeat customers stocking up on more Oz vitamins since the shows aired... who knows, maybe he's on to something!All-and-all, Natural Life is a wonderful, family-owned nutrition shop with staff that knows their supplements inside-and-out. Most of the current business seems to be stemming from the Dr. Oz crowd, but they're great for other resources too. Of course, if you're one who has been looking for Oz vitamins, this place has you covered.

Ok. So this is not a review to guide one's decision as to whether or not this place will fulfill your shopping needs. This review is more of a warning to alert us consumers about the operations of this facility. Be aware the Natural Life Nutrition Shoppes will have your car towed immediately if you use their parking even for the briefest of moments. And when I say "briefest" I mean blink of an eye. I literally ran into a nearby sushi place to pick up an order. Got it in about five minutes to find my car gone. Then, discovering that this Shoppe called in their tow service to have my car pulled. Which then turned into a $108 bill to get my car back. (You won't get your car with a credit card or check -- have cash at the ready!) You will find your car Dumont (or Dumond) in the East End area. Now I know some of you reading this might understand their decision to have my car pulled. However, there were three open spots and again I was in there for a few minutes. Also, this is a warning to you so this does not happen to my friends here on Yelp. Due to this occurrence I will not be spending my money at this establishment. It just wouldn't feel "Natural" to my "Life".

It's small and unassuming from the outside, but had what I was looking for. I called ahead, and the owner was helpful, and even reserved what I was looking for without me asking because there was only one left. The price wasn't bad; just one dollar more than Vitamin Shoppe, and well worth the convenience. Customer service is great and personalized.

I used to drive past this tiny little nutritional shop on my way to the Hyde Park Kinko's. When I finally stopped in to check it out I was a little disappointed. The prices were higher than I hoped and the selection of non-nutritional supplies was limited. My mistake was hoping they had more of a selection and not taking the time to really explore the stock they did have available. I purchased some Doctor Bronner's Peppermint soap and some Amber perfumed oil. Next time I'll try to visit when I have more time instead of trying to fit my visit in during my lunch break.

The man working at this business attitude was poor customer service skills. He acted like I was bothering him while asking about certain vitamins. His answers were short and his tone was a bit annoying. He was more interested in getting back to doing something else instead of promoting knowledge about vitamins and asking me questions.

Extraordinarily rude to me after I asked a few questions. Very unpleasant staff. Place had an eerie vibe to it as well. While these stores usually have a nice staff and friendly kind of environment I felt uneasy and unwelcome.

Service was terrible, prices are high, gentlemen didn't even look healthy, and hygiene appearance was sloppy at work. From what I'm reading on here I am far from the first person to feel this way. When I spoke to him he gave me the worst cold shoulder I have ever received. This store lacks improvement and innovative products and is ran by close minded individuals. If you want to shop at a great family owned and operated location just visit the GNC down the street from this location. They're always friendly when I go in there and have great suggestions on things. That one is individually owned unlike other GNC stores I've visited. The prices, service, and selection there blow this place out of the water.

I just love this store. I've been in a ton of times and always recommend it, but never remember to tell my Yelper friends! This is a really nice family owned store that basically wait on you hand and foot if you need anything - from advice to ordering products. Unfortunately I moved recently so I don't get there often, but they always remember me. I should go there more often!
