Molly's Cupcakes

More like a 3.5, solid cupcakes, very tasty. The crème brûlée was good but sweet, I couldn't tell if something was in the center, but I thought that's what I was told,The carrot cake was good, but not really giving carrot cake; more of a spice cake. I may return when in the mood.

This cupcake shop was also in the beautiful city, leisure area of Liberty Township. Swinging on the swings inside made the little kid inside of me happy. The delicious cold cupcake also made me happy. The only thing that didn't make me happy was paying $4.50 for this lil' cupcake. Overpriced.

Came in on a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant itself is really neat and fun! Service was great. For it being later in the day, they did have lots of options to choose from. I have to say the cupcakes tasted basic. But cute and fun for a little dose of sugar.

I've had a lot of cupcakes in my day, and I can say with confidence these are some of the best I've had. The cake has the perfect amount of moisture and the ratio of icing to cake is ideal. Speaking of the icing, no matter the flavor, I found the sweetness level to be great rather than having an overbearing taste of sugar. I love all of the filled cupcakes too, especially the cookie dough and cake batter!They have options that are flourless and vegan too. Even these don't compromise on taste. I had the vegan Cookie Monster and actually thought it was better than the original.It's a great spot for an after dinner treat or dessert date with the cute swings and the old school vibe. The taste and new seasonal flavors will have you continually coming back.

I typically don't even care for cake and this cupcake was AMAZING! I stopped in while walking around Liberty Center and picked up a couple of cupcakes for myself and my husband. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his carrot cake cupcake. I tried the peanut butter cupcake and it was incredible. The actual cake itself was so moist. Then it was covered with a layer of chocolate and peanut butter topping. The crowning jewel that made it over the top delicious was the peanut butter filling. Highly recommend!!

How about...........CUPCAKES?!?!?Seeming to have grown to a bit of a craze, I've seen a lot of cupcake places pop up over the last few years. Many of which I can say didn't last very long. But, I'm a sweets guy will very little self control in that department. So, when I see one I want to try it.Sadly, I have been let down about 50% of the time. For whatever reason, they just don't get it right. Molly get's it right!I've been here a few times now and I've tried at least a half dozen different cakes. My favorite, by far, is the Peach Cobbler cupcake. Absolutely phenomenal.The cake - Moist (the only allowable context to use this word) and tasty. Not dry, hard/dense or tasteless. Molly's right on with this one.The frosting/topping - Sweet and creamy and with some, quite creative.Molly's is a nice little shop. There are some tables and areas to eat your treats on the spot or take them home to enjoy. Or..... if you are of little self control - Have one, or two, there and then eat the rest at home in private shame/enjoyment.Would I go back? Yes I would and I've been a few times now. One small footnote with a bright side. I love carrot cake. "Love" like the way a mother loves her children, "love". On my last visit I bought one of their Carrot Cake Cupcakes. Also, I believe I've had one before. But on this visit, something was wrong with the cake. I couldn't eat it. In a non-threatening and non-Karen way, I quietly brought it up to one of the ladies behind the counter. She could not have been more accommodating and asked if I'd like one to replace it. I opted not to, but that was only a small demonstration of self control on my part. The point is, she handled it like a champ and offered to make it right. Which is why Molly's will still have my business.Note - If you're one of those people who gets joy out of making a scene when something isn't just right or doesn't go your way, stay home. You don't need to be out in the wild tearing people down. Handle it like a human being. Handle it as if you would want to be handled if it was the other way around.

I did not actually try the cupcakes, because I am refraining from sugar, but I'm rating the great service. The cupcakes looked and smelled delicious and I can't wait to try one in the future. I ran in to get water and the person working the counter was so friendly. She explained to me about an issue they were having with the refrigeration system that froze their bottled water. I still bought some, but just appreciated her attention to details.

We must have had an unusual experience at this store. Overall, we thought the cupcakes were very dry and were basic. For the price and the fame, we expected something that was different that the normal cupcake you can get from Kroger. Also, there was something awry with our lattes - they were supposed to be hot, but came out lukewarm and very bitter. Overall, maybe I would give Molly another chance if I was in the area, but probably not.

The Creme Brulee and raspberry white chocolateThese are decent. I've been once before this trip. It was $4 a cupcake. Not a bad dessert but not one I'm going out of my way for.

What an incredible place! Wonderful food. Knowledge service and the cutest vibe! Can't wait to bite into these!
