It seems to be hit or miss most days when going in to get donuts. The good days they are excellent and others not so much. I miss the previous owner, but do realize that the new owners are still just trying to find their way.

Keep your hours accurate on all websites. Showed up this morning just to be ignored by the woman sitting inside working even though it said on Apple they were open. Very rude! A good business starts with communication with customers.

Miss Shirley's is the best donut place in town!! The staff are always friendly and smiling. Anyone coming through Alexandria should give this place a try. And while you're at it, buy at least 6! They have so many unique donuts, but have to give at least one of the long Johns a try!Have to get there before 10 or a lot of their variety is sold out already. That says enough for you!

I have had these donuts 4 or 5 times over the past few years. They're made cheaply and about the quality you would expect from a Meijer or Walmart bakery. Not even as good as Kroger bakery items. They sell out fast and have loyal customers. It's convenient for people in town and gives off the impression of an established, cute bakery with workers dedicated to the craft. This place deserves more honest reviews though
