Always an amazing experience at Milanos! The atmosphere is buzzing and the food is delicious! If you go you HAVE to try the fried pickles - they are the best you will ever have. Both their spinach artichoke dip and buffalo chicken dip are also awesome. Didn't get any pizza this time around but it's great as well. Good beer selection too.

We went to Milano's on a Saturday for some lunch to watch college football. The inside is pretty spacious with several TV's. It reminded me of a chain sports bar that just so happens to be across the street. Enough about that, now back to Milanos. They allowed us to sit wherever we wanted, which was nice as we were able to pick out the ideal TV locations. We were quickly brought our drinks and the bar staff was able to change the TV channels to our preferred games (not always an easy ask). The menu has lots to choose from, however just as the name states, pizza and sub sandwiches are the specialities. We went in October and they had a special German-themed Octoberfest addition to the menu which included brats and schnitzels as well as German beer. At the recommendation of our server, we ordered the garlic cheese dippers as an appetizer. It was delicious and definitely more than enough for the two of us. For entrees, I ordered the American Schnitzel Octoberfest special and my SO got the chicken cheesesteak sandwich. The schnitzel was huge (think pork tenderloin state-fair size) and very crispy. My SO also really liked her sandwich.Overall, we really enjoyed Milanos for the food, atmosphere and service. Our server/bartender Leah was absolutely awesome. She was outgoing, helpful and attentive and made us feel very welcomed. We will be back!

I had dinner at Milano's with my partner and a friend last night. I hadn't been here in years. I wasn't overly impressed but it was alright. I started off with a Boat Show IPA which is always a good choice and was delicious. We ordered the Onion petals as an appetizer. They were fried well but a little bland. I was expecting more seasoning like most places but they were rather boring. For entree I had the Extreme Meats Calzone. It was so-so. The crust was not crispy or flaky like normal. It was more moist and chewy and the meats were sort of just thrown in. Like 8-10 slices of pepperoni still stacked on themselves. Our server was very friendly and the ambiance was cool but I found the actual food as very underwhelming. Would I go there again? Probably not with so many other great pizza options in Dayton.

I had an issue with a DoorDash delivery from Milano's Pizza, Subs & Taps in December 2021. They delivered my food to my neighbor, and I was less-than-impressed with the sub that I ordered. The manager, Larry, saw a post of mine about the incident in a Facebook group and said that I could call him. I did just that, and he offered to make it right on a future order. This was above and beyond, because the problems were mostly on DoorDash, and my personal preference of not liking their bread. He also explained to me that they have a soft roll that I could substitute for the traditional hard roll.I went back and I tried a chicken Philly on a soft roll, and the bread absolutely made a difference for me! I have to note that this sub was exactly like my last one, with all of the toppings on the outside, so I'm not really sure what's happening in their sub making process! I also had a spring salad that was really good. I didn't love the artichoke dip. It wasn't bad, but I've had better.I also want to give a shout out to the cashier who was taking orders that night. I didn't get his name, but he was amazing. The poor kid was new, and I'm asking him about an account credit, if they can make things that aren't on the menu, and for the soft roll, and he had to put me on hold every time to ask! He apologized and said that he was new, but he was so kind through all of my questioning. When I got to the restaurant to pick up my order, he was on the phone with someone asking about their hours. The person called 15 mins before close. He was telling them that it was still okay to place an order, and explaining that the kitchen closes 30 mins before the restaurant. If that had been me, I totally would have said, "Okay, bye!" and avoided that last minute order! He really was a stand-up employee! Between him and the manager, I'm more than happy to give this place my business!

Stopped in to this Milanos for my very first visit ever. Had just left the university of Dayton basketball game middle of the afternoon on a rainy Saturday. My son was nice enough to treat me to some pizza after the ball game and I was pretty hungry after having only a very light breakfast at about 6:30 in the morning Pretty simple order. I got a double pepperoni, small pizza and I had a draft beer. My son got some kind of half-and-half pizza. They actually messed his order up and was nice enough to replace it with another pizza he could take with him. I believe our servers name was Abby really cute little blonde girl who was super nice, friendly and very helpful a fantastic waitress I'll for sure be back another time or two whether it's after a basketball game or not

I grew up in Dayton in the 80s with the old Milanos. And am pleased to say it was about as close as my taste buds could remember. Fantastic! They had a nice beer selection as well.

We rolled into Dayton late and there wasn't much open after 9pm. Milano's kitchen was open until 11:40pm. The dining room is spacious and there are lots of flat screens with various sporting events on. There is also a bar area if you prefer that. The server was as nice and attentive. The food was ok. The calzone was good. The wings were overdone and they gave you a disproportionate amount of wingettes vs drumettes. The Philly steak had very little meat and needed more seasoning. They had a decent tap beer list.

Worst restaurant experience this year -- and yes, it's October.Hard to imagine a worse restaurant experience. Waitress couldn't remember who ordered what beverages so she brought 6 drinks for 4 people "to be sure".Ice water tasted like iodine. (Many places use it to clean the ice machine -- but you are supposed to rinse it out and make fresh ice afterwards.) Waitress didn't even apologize, nor mention that she would let manager know.Silverware was not clean.Food was taking FOREVER (+30 minutes). Waitress did not check back once or explain during that entire time. Someone at our table tracked down another waitress to get our waitress. Our waitress came over and said "the oven is behind." In other words, the pizza was the delay. Sure enough, when the meals came, the pizza was hot -- and the other meals barely luke warm. (Clearly sat around getting cold while pizza catching up.) Asked for redo -- and then waited another 15+ minutes.OMG -- NEVER going back.https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g60785-d941449-r976894501-Milano_s_Pizza_and_Subs-Dayton_Ohio.html#
