I stopped here for lunch at noon on a Thursday and the place was full of people, there were only a few seats open. This place was busy and most likely because it's one of the only restaurants around. It is very much off the beaten path from the expressway. I took one of the few tables that were open, and my server came right over and took my drink order and gave me a menu. The menu was a little bit of a disappointment, I was expecting some good old diner favorites and really it was heavy on breakfast items and lunch was mainly hamburgers and sandwiches. I ordered the BLT sandwich along with a cup of potato soup. The BLT was served with French fries. After a short wait, approx. 5 mins, she brought me my lunch. She served the soup with the meal, and I really would rather have my soup first so neither one gets cold. The soup lacked flavor, not completely, but it was rather bland. The BLT was fantastic, it was very flavorful, the bacon was crispy, and the tomatoes and lettuce were very fresh. The only thing I wished they would have offered was a BLT club sandwich as the sandwich left me a little hungry. Now the French fries here are on another level. They were cooked PERFECTLY, they were on the fat side, but very crispy on the outside, but fluffy on the inside. They were WONDERFUL... I would come here just for the fry's... My only complaint came at the end of the meal when it came to paying my bill. It dawned on me when I brought my check to the register, that they might not take credit cards and I was correct they didn't. I had to leave my driver's license with my server while I ran several blocks down the road to go to a convenience store to use the ATM. THAT WAS A PAIN. I personally don't understand an establishment not taking credit cards today, this is 2023. Everyone has a smartphone and can use PayPal or square. I am more than willing to pay an additional 3% for credit card processing fees, just post that is your policy for accepting credit cards. At least that way, it is our choice, right now you are not giving us a choice at all. I will only go back if they start accepting credit cards.

Higher prices, lower quality food - especially the coffee. It's just brown water. Higher prices since the new owner took the over, and when you ask any questions about the quality of the food/coffee, they deny that anything has changed.

If your traveling 74 between Cincy and Indy swing in for a home style breakfast and an endless cub of coffee. Locals have their spots and staff knows there preferences by heart but they will show you the local hospitality that has made this a great spot for a stop. Bill just ordered his usual eggs over easy with some sausage gravy, limp bacon, toast and had a warm cup of coffee waiting on him as he bellied up to the bar because his waitress saw him drive by. Drop in and give it a try!! So local it is Cash Only!!

Cash only. The diner is small and filled with people. Three of us went and we waited for a table. No one greeted us, and while we waited for a clean table, some other people came right in and sat down as she just cleaned a table off. I guess we seat ourselves. So we sat down at the next clean table. We waited sooooooo long for someone to take our drink orders and then longer for our food. We wished we would have just left. We ordered breakfast, French toast, and two BLTs, home-fries, and three drinks. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here and I am sure we won't be stopping back.

This is hands down the best diner in the area. Large selection of breakfast and lunch options. My personal favorite is the patty melt with fried green beans. Prices are low low low and the food is always an excellent bang for your buck. Stop here over any other highway eatery. It's located in the old train station in the center of New Point. Sometimes you'll even be lucky enough to watch a train ramble by from the windows. A local eatery with lots of character!

Midtown Diner is the perfect casual dining experience. Located in an old train station, the building maintains a certain small town and old time charm. The food is delicious and coffee is hot!

Hidden Gem!I am a breakfast fanatic and we are so glad we made our way to this "slightly out of the way" place off I-74 between Indianapolis and Cincinnati. Just a simple diner in farming country that serves amazing food. I'm not a fan of flat top prepared omelettes, but these are amazing. It's just a simple place serving well prepared food. Bring cash, though. No cards. You'll be happy you stopped by.

Great food. Great customer service. If you have kids, ask for a pancake and they can make just about anything. Family owned and operated. Check out the antiques while you are there.
